DV89 2 DV89 3 This handbook has been designed to give you all the information you need to install, connect, set up and use the Arcam DiV A DV89. The remote contr ol handset supplied with the equipment is also described. It may be that the DV89 has been installed and set up as part of your Hi-Fi installation by a qualied Arcam dealer .

DV89 4 DV89 5 Pr ogressive video If your television is capable of accepting a progr essively scanned video signal, you may wish to use the progr essive video output from the DV89. T o connect the progr essive output of the DV89 to your TV , follow the instructions above for connecting component video.

It is now essential to go through an initial set up procedur e to ensure the DVD player is congur ed correctly for use.
DV89 6 DV89 7 Remote type This informs the player which type of remote contr ol you are using, so that the player can take into account the slight differences between the r emote types. For ARCAM remote controls, the r emote type is always written on the front of the remote contr ol, normally at the bottom of the unit.
