7 INST ALL A TION 4. The condensation str ip must be fitted to the underside of the worktop above your dishwasher to protect it against an y moisture. Its purpose is to protect your w orktop ’ s underside from steam rising from the dishwasher .

This unit MUST BE connected to C OLD W A TER MAINS using the new water inlet hose. OLD HOSE SETS MUST NOT BE RE-USED. The water pressure from the water mains needs to be at a minimum of 0.

15 Y ou can choose to add a detergent tablet alone or to add deter gent powder to both the main wash detergent chamber and the pre -wash detergent chamber for your selected wash cycle. All prog rammes with pre-wash need an additional detergent dosage that must be placed in the pre-wash deter gent chamber (please refer to the wash cycle table).
16 Alternatively , you can judge the amount of rinse aid by check ing the r inse aid indicator right next to the reservoir ’ s cap . When the indicator is black, it means it is full . When it is clear , it means it is almost empty. Adjusting the Rinse Aid Reservoir The rinse aid reservoir has six settings .
17 Adding Salt If the water in your area is hard, deposits will form on your dishes and utensils. This appliance con tains a salt reser voir for you to reduc e the hardness of the water . Please follow the steps below to pour the salt into the salt reservoir and it must be set to correspond to the water hardness level in your area.
18 Adjusting Salt C onsumption Salt consumption must be adjusted to correspond to the water hardness lev el in your area. I f you don’ t know how hard the wa ter in your home is, please ask the company that supplies water in your area. It is recommended that adjustments should be made in accor dance with the following char t.
19 Loading the Dish washer Before L oading the Dishwasher Please obser ve the following notes befor e loading your cutler y and crocker y into the basket. • Remove lipstick stains and any f ood residues from crockery and dishes. Rinse if necessar y .
20 Long items such as soup ladles, mixing spoons and long knives should be placed lying down across the front of the upper basket. Upper Basket Please use the upper basket for small and lightweight items such as cups, saucers, glasses, desser t bowls, etc.
21 Low er Basket W e recommend that large and the most difficult to clean items are placed in the lower basket, such as plates, ser ving platters, saucepans, serving bowls, pots, pans, lids etc. W e recommend placing serving dishes and lids at the side of the basket to av oid block ing the rota tion of the spray arms.
22 Loading the Low er Basket F or loading the lower basket, please refer to the table below. 23 Star ting a W ash C ycle Please follow the steps below to start a wash c ycle . 1. Ensure the unit is connec ted to the mains power and the water supply is on (water pressur e bet w een 0.04MPa and 1.00MPa). 2. Open the door . P ull out the lower and upper baskets, load the dishes and push the baskets back.
24 S witching O the Unit T o save energy, remember to switch the dishwasher off using the ON/OFF button. The dishwasher will continue to use electricity until it is switched off with the ON/OFF button. If the dishwasher is not going to be used f or a long period of time, e.
25 Internal Car e Filtering S ystem The filtering system in the base of the wash cabinet captures large par ticles of suds solution. Build up of these par ticles may cause the filters to block. Check the condition of the filters regularly and clean them if necessary under running wat er .
26 Spray A rms Particles of food can get stuck in the spray arm jets and bearings. T he spray arms should ther efore be checked and cleaned regularly. • Use a pointed object, eg . a cocktail stick, to loosen f ood particles in the spray arms’ jets.
27 Hints and Tips F ault Code Codes Possible Causes Remedy E1 W ater tap is not turned on. T urn on the water tap. Low water pressure (<0.04MPa) T urn on the water tap and ensure it is in full position. Flow meter is broken. • Disconnect from the mains.
28 General Problems Problem Possible Causes Remedy Detergent residue is left in the dispenser at the end of the programme . The detergent dispenser was still damp when detergent was added. Make sure the dispenser is dr y before adding detergent. The detergent dispenser lid cannot be closed properly .
29 Disposal of the Dishw asher • When disposing your old dishwasher , first make it unusable. Disconnect the hoses and unplug the mains cable. C ut off the mains cable from the dishwasher . Make the door lock inoperative, so that children cannot accidentally shut themselves in.
