17 Installation 3 Installation Installing the player Y ou can stand the player or mount on a wall. Assembling the player with stand Preparation 1. Connect the cables. Step 1 2. After connecting the cables, you can arrange the cable with cable holder as shown below .

23 Installation 3 Installation Mounting the speakers on a wall Y ou can mount the speak ers on a wall . Pr epare screws and brackets supplied. When you mount to a wall(concret e), use the wall plugs. Y ou should drill some holes (Diameter: 6 mm, Depth: more than 32 mm) for the mounting .

25 Installation 3 Installation Speaker Connection Wireless connection The wireless subwoof er makes setup simple, too - there ar e no cables to connect. When you turn on the unit and subwoofer the connection will be completed automatically . When the connection is completed, you can see the icon on the display window .
26 Installation Installation 3 Connecting to Y our TV Make one of the following connections, depending on the capabilities of your existing equipment. • HDMI connection (page 26) • Video connection (page 28) NO TE • Depending on your T V and other equipment you wish to connect, there are various ways you could connect the player .
27 Installation 3 Installation NO TE • Changing the resolution when the connection has already been established may result in malfunctions. T o solve the problem, turn o the player and then turn it on again. • When the HDMI connection with HDCP is not veri ed, TV screen is changed to black screen.
28 Installation Installation 3 Video Connection Connect the VIDEO OUT jack on the player to the video in jack on the T V using a video cable. Y ou can hear the sound through the system ’ s speakers. 29 Installation 3 Installation Ant enna connection Connect the supplied antenna for listening t o the radio. Antenna Connection NO TE After connecting the FM wire antenna, keep it as horizontal as possible. Be sure to fully extend the FM wire ant enna.
30 Installation Installation 3 OPTICAL IN connection Y ou can enjoy the sound from your component with a digital optical connection through the speakers of this system. Connect the optical output jack of your component into the OPTICAL IN jacks on the unit.
31 Installation 3 Installation Connecting t o your Home Network This player can be connected to a local area network (LAN) via the LAN por t on the rear panel or the internal wireless module.
32 Installation Installation 3 Wired Network Setup Before setting the wir ed network , you need to connect the broadband internet to your home network . If there is a DHCP ser ver on the local ar ea network (LAN) via wired connection, this player will automatically be allocated an IP address .
33 Installation 3 Installation Wireless Network Connection Another connection option is to use an Access Point or a wir eless router . In the example con guration for wir eless connec tion below , this player would be able to access cont ent from either of the PCs.
34 Installation Installation 3 Wireless Network Setup Before setting the wir eless network , you need to: – connect the broadband internet to the wireless home network. – set the access point or wireless rout er . – note the SSID and security code of the network .
35 Installation 3 Installation [Manual] – Y our access point may not be broadcasting its access point name(SSID). Check your router settings thr ough your computer and either set your rout er to broadcast SSID , or manually enter the access point name(SSID) in [Manual].
36 Installation Installation 3 • Some internet connection operations may not be possible due to certain restrictions set by the Internet ser vice provider (ISP) supplying your broadband Internet connection. • Any fees charged by an ISP including , without limitation, connection charges are your responsibility .
37 Installation 3 Installation USB device connection This player can play movie , music and photo les contained in the USB device. 1. Inser t a USB device to the USB port until it ts into place. USB Connection - 1 2. Select [Movie], [Photo] or [Music] using I / i , and press ENTER ( ).
38 Installation Installation 3 Settings Adjust the Setup Settings Y ou can change the settings of the player in the [Setup] menu. 1. Pr ess HOME ( ). 2. Use I / i to select the [Setup] and press ENTER ( ). The [Setup] menu appears. 3. Use U / u to select a rst setup option, and press i to move to the second level .
39 Installation 3 Installation Resolution Sets the output resolution of the HDMI video signal. Ref er to page 28 and page 90 for details about the resolution setting. [Auto] If the HDMI OUT jack is connected to T Vs pr oviding display information (EDID), automatically selects the resolution best suited to the connected T V .

41 Installation 3 Installation HD A V Sync Sometimes Digital T V encounters a delay between picture and sound. If this happens you can compensate by setting a delay on the sound so that it e ectively ‘waits’ for the picture to arrive: this is called HD A V Sync.
42 Installation Installation 3 [L OCK] Menu T o access the any features in [L OCK ] settings, you must enter the 4-digit security code you have creat ed. If you have not entered a passw ord yet, you are prompted to do so . Enter a 4-digit password twice, and press ENTER ( ) to create a new password .
43 Installation 3 Installation [NETWORK] Menu The [NET WORK ] settings are needed to use the software update, BD Live, Home Link and NetCast features . Connection Setting If your home network environment is ready to connect to the player , the player needs to be set up for network communication.
44 Installation Installation 3 Auto P ower Off The screen saver appears when y ou leave the player in stop mode f or about ve minutes. If you set this option to [On], the unit automatically turns itself o after the Screen Saver is displayed f or 25 minutes.
