24 Installation Installation 3 Connecting to your Home Network This player can be connected to a local ar ea network (LAN) via the LAN por t on the rear panel. By connecting the unit to a broadband home network , you ha ve access to ser vices such as software updates, BD-LIVE interactivity and streaming services.
25 Installation 3 Installation Wired Network Setup Befor e setting the wired network , you need t o connect the broadband internet to your home network . If there is a DHCP ser ver on the local ar ea network (LAN) via wired connection, this player will automatically be allocated an IP addr ess.

After connecting the player to the home network, quick ly power o and/or disconnect the power cable of the home network router or cable modem.
