Connect the external device and the TV with a component cable as shown in the following illustration. • If cables are installed incorrectly, it could cause the image to display in black and white or with distorted color.

Connect the external device and the TV with the composite cable as shown in the following illustration. • If you have a mono VCR, connect the audio cable from the VCR to the AUDIO L/MONO jack of the TV.

Digital Optical A udio Connection Transmits a digital audio signal from the TV to an external device. Connect the external device and the TV with the optical audio cable as shown in the following illustration.
