You can c onfigure and save a set of frequent ly used pri nter set tings ava ilable f or a given t as k and then assign a shor tcut name and shortc ut number t o it.
Getti n g s tarted During installation, a l ink will be pr ovided for you to create short cuts. If you w ere not able t o create your shor tcuts during installat ion, then y ou may c reate the s hortc uts thro ugh your pri nter so ftware.

Fax ing FA Q If I s kipped the f ax setup initiall y, do I need t o run the ins taller aga in to set up t he fa x? You do n ot need to r un the install er again. You ca n set up and co nfigure t he fax through t he fax so ftware that was instal led with the printer software.
What is my dialing pre fix? The dialin g prefi x is the numbe r or ser ies of numb ers that you press befo re you can dial the act ual fax num ber or telephon e number.
How can I check t h e dial to ne? A dial tone lets yo u know if th e telephone li ne is working or if th e printer is properl y connected t o t he telephone l ine. If you encounter pr oblems se nding and receiving f axes, then make sure you c an hear a dial tone on the line and throug h the pr inter.
How ca n I mak e sure tha t fax calls g o to the printer and vo ice call s go to t he answe ring machine ? To make sure the printer picks up inco ming faxe s, set Auto A ns wer to On, and then set t h e pr inter to pick up after a greater number of r ings than the answering machine.
4 Enter the tim e you w ant to send the fax, and then pr ess . 5 Press to star t scanning t he document and to sav e t he s cheduled fax. The printer send s the fax at the designated time. Do not turn of f the print er or unplug i t from the tele phone line before t he sche duled tim e.
