4 Hard w are Reset The Reset Button can be used to reboot the camera or restore it to factory default settings. If the camera experiences a problem, rebooting the cam era may correct the problem. If the proble m remains, please restore the camera to factory default settings and reinstall the sof tware.

6 ii. Connect the PoE (1), DIDO (2), and Audio (3) Cables to their respective terminals. See below f or more det ails regarding the DIDO and Audio connection. 1) Power over Ethernet (PoE) Connection 2) Power Adapter Connection Please refer to the definition of the terminal blocks below .
7 c. For wall inst allation: i. Chose the location on the wall to place the camera. ii. Drill four holes through the center of the four location holes on the sticker . iii. Hammer the four plastic anchors which are provided in the product package into the four location ho les.

12 Sof tware Inst allation In this manual, "User" refers to whoever has access to the Netw ork Camera, and "Administrator" refers to the person who can configure the Network Camera and grant user access to the camera.

15 2. Do not check the box if user would like to check the hardware inst allation setting s. Otherwise click “ Skip the hardware installation ” to skip the hardware connection checking , the program will automatically search for the Network Camera in the Intranet.

17 4. Setting the Network Camera IP address. User can e ither select simple mode or professional mode for ne twork camera IP setting. If simple mo de is select ed, the easy co nfiguration program will set up the connection automatically .

The default domain name is MAC address; you ca n also register with your own name on-line. 6. After finish setting, the connection successful or fail showed.

20 Access to the Network Camera Check Net w ork Settings The Network Camera can be connected either before o r immediately after softw are installation onto the Local Area Network. T he Ad ministrator should complete th e network settings on the configuration page, including the correct subnet mas k and IP address o f gateway and DNS.
21 A uthenti cation After opening the Web browser a nd typing in the URL o f t he Netw ork Camera, a dialogue window pops up to req uest a username and passw ord.
22 Live V iew Live V iew is the default p a ge that opens when accessing the camera. Live video is displayed directly in the browser window . Stream 1 ~3 Cha nnels The network camera offers simultaneous several streams for optimized quality and bandwidth.

UDP - This protocol allows for more real-time aud io and video streams. How ever, network packets may be lost due to network burst traffic and images may be broken.
24 Motion Detection - Enable the motion detection alert function. Mute - Turn off the sound. Talk - To communicate through the camera using the computer MIC. Default – Reset to default view settings. NOTE 1. The <Camera Control Panel > f unctions have no effect on the recorded video.
25 Configuration Click < Configuration > on the main page to change the came ra settings pages. NOTE - Only Administrators can access the Configuration page.
26 Profile – Up to five profiles can be created for dif ferent lighting environments. Day , night and sunset are default profiles and users can create up to t wo additional profiles. Select a profile from the drop-down menu or select dif ferent ones to chang e profile settings.
27 Profile Management : Profiles can be scheduled to change at sched uled times or under different lightening changes. A lw ays - Select Always to use a single profile. Select the profile from the drop dow n menu. Day & Night - Select Day & Night to schedule two profiles for day and night.
28 Sc hedule – Select Schedule to schedule specific time periods for different profiles. Digital Inputs - Select Digital Input to have the profile management controlled by an external sensor. Select profiles from the drop down menu. Profiles will change according to different trigger voltage levels .
29 Video The Network Camera offers several separate streams for different viewing options..
30 Stream 1 ~ 3 Video Codec - The Network Camera offers three choices of video codec standards for real-time viewing: H.264, MPEG -4 and MJPEG. Video Resolution - Select from the drop-down menu to choose the best resolution recording settings. Frame Rate - Select the frame rate from drop-down menu.
31 Text To make a note about the camera, check “ Enable ” and select the display pos ition from the drop-down menu. Enter a video description in the text box. NOTE - The video overlay will only take effect in stream 1. Click Apply to apply settings or Cancel to cancel changes.
32 A udio The administrator can set up several streams for the camera for different viewin g devices. The administrator can enable or disable the audio func tion on either stream. If audio enable is selected, select the Audio codec from the drop-down m enu.
33 Privacy Mask Control The camera is equipped with a privacy feature which allows users to mask the whole or partially of the camera ’ s live view . Privacy Mask Control - Enable the Privacy Mask control to remotely disable live view and recording from the camera.
- 34 - Net w ork IP Settings This section explains how to configure a wired network connection for the camera. The re are several ways to setup the camera over the Internet: (1) obtain an av ailable dynamic IP address assigned by a DHCP server, (2) use a static IP, or use PPPoE (Point- to -point over Ethernet).
- 35 - 3. PPPoE (Point- to -point over Ethernet) : Use this mode if connecting to the Internet through a DSL Line. NOTE - To utilize this feature, it requires an account provided by an Internet Serv ice Provider. Enter the user name and passw ord provided by the ISP .

Network came ras are comp atible with three DDNS service providers (1) DynDNS and (2) TZO NOTE - Before utilizing this function; please apply for a dynamic domain account from a DDNS provider. DynDNS – Enable the DynDNS to allow the camera to have a fixed host and domain name.
- 37 - HTTP/HTTPS HTTP – (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) - This protocol allows for TCP protocol quality without ha ving to open specific ports for streaming.
- 38 - Multicast Multicast sends a video stream to the multicast group address and allows multiple clients to acquire the stream at the same time by requesting a copy from the multicast group address. Therefore, multicast can effectively save Internet bandwidth.
- 39 - EasyLink The IP Camera is bun dled with free Le vel1DNS TM service which allows users to assign a un iqu e user name to their network camera’ s IP address. There is no need to configure the router to open up ports or remember hard- to -memorize IP addresses.
- 40 - Event Event Settings W hen an ev ent (such as unauthorized movement) occurs, the camera can be schedul ed to perform certain actions. An Event Type is a set of parameters that de fines these actions. This section describes how to configure the camera to perform certain actions when events occur.
- 41 - How to Set Up an Event Schedule Event Schedule describes how and when the camera performs certain actions. 1. C heck “ Enable ” and enter a descriptive name for th e event schedule. 2. Set Event Schedule to define when the event is activated by selecting from Always (24 hours), Schedule or Recurrence patter n.
- 42 - i. A Scheduled Event can be programmed for certain times and day. ii. Click individual boxes to schedule specific times for the camera to detect events.
- 43 - b. If Recurrence Pattern is selected, the following page will be displayed. i. An event schedule can be programmed to recur at different times according to the user’s needs. Select the days for the event schedul e to occur. Select a start time and speci fy the duration.
- 44 - a. W hen <Se nd to Email> is selected, the following page will be shown: ii. Sender - Enter the email address of the sender. iii. Recipient - Enter the email address of the recipient. To enter multiple recipients, separate each using a comma.
- 45 - iv. Sender ’ s Name – Enter the sender ’ s name that will appear in the recipient ’ s inbox. v. Subject - Enter the title of the email. 5. W hen complete, click Apply to save new event or Cancel to delete the event. The new event will appear on the event list.
- 46 - Detection Setting – Use this setting to enable and define the motion detection windows. The user can defined up to three areas on the live view window for motion detection. 1. Select <W in dow 1 >, <W in dow2>, or < W indow3> to adjust the motion detection window.
- 47 - 5. Adjust the “ Threshold ” to change the threshold level. The higher the threshold, the larger objects need to be to trigger an event. 6. The chart below the Live View window indicate s the activity lev el of the M otion Detection window. W hen motion is detected by the camera and exceeds the defined threshold, a red bar w il l appear.
- 48 - Users can schedule an event to be trigg ered if the re is a change in the sound level of a monitored area. Audio detection can be used to measure change in t he ambient voice. Select the sensitivity from the drop-down menu. Sensitivity - is used to adjust the sensitivity of the sound level from 10 - 100%.
- 49 - Notifications Use the tools in this section to specify w hat type of notification will be sent when an event occurs. T he camera can send buffered images to an FTP server, Samba, Email, or HTTP. FTP Settings File T ransfer Protocol (FTP) is used as an application component to automatically transfer files for program internal functions.
- 50 - E-mail Settings Select “Primary Email Server” option from the Server Selection drop down menu to send media files to an email server w hen an event is triggered. SMTP Server - Enter the server host name of the email server. SMTP Port - Enter the port number of the email server ; by default, the SMTP port is set to 2 5.
- 51 - Samba Settings Select this o ption t o s end the media files v ia a n etwork n eighborhood when an event is triggered. Server Address - Enter the IP address of the Samba server. User Name - Enter the user name of the Samba server. Password - Enter the password of the Samba server.

- 53 - A udio Clip Audio Recording – Audio clips can be record ed and played when an event occurs. Click Browse to import a file from a local hard drive or network disk. Se lect the file and click Import. NOTE – The camera can only play audio clips w hich are saved as .
- 54 - Video Clip This function is u sed to determine when v ideo clips w ill be recorded and stored after an ev ent is triggered. P re -alarm buffer - Images can be stored internally on the server from the time immediately preceding the trigger. Ente r the desired leng th of time.
- 55 - Maintenance Language Select the desired language from the drop-down list. Click Apply to apply settings or Cancel to cancel changes. User Management This section explains how to enable password protection and create multiple accounts. The administrator account name is “admin”, which is permanent and cannot be deleted.
- 56 - Enter th e new user’s name , password and confirm password . Administrators can add up to 10 user accounts. Select the privilege level for the new user account from the drop-d own list. Privileg e levels can be assigned as: Administrator - user has access to view and change the Conf iguration page.
- 57 - NOTE - Do not power off the camera or camera during the upgrade. Upgrade - Click Browse… and specify the firmware file. Click Upgrade . The camera will begin upgrading and will reboot automatically w hen the upgrade is finished. The following message will show during the firmware up grading process.
- 58 - Reset to Default This section is used to restore the camera to default factory s ettings. Check the boxes to preserve the IP, Date and Time, or Language settings. Click Apply to restore th e camera to default factory settings. Reboot This feature will reboot the camera.
- 59 - System System Log Log – Set up the camera to record a system log w hen an event is triggered. This page displays the system’s log in chronological order. T he system log is stored in the camera’s buffer area and will be overwritten when the buffer area is full.
- 60 - Date and Time T ime Zone – Select the local time zone from drop-down menu. Manual – Manually enter the date and time. Clone from PC – The camera w ill sync with the t ime, date and time zone of the computer used to modify the camera settings.
- 61 - Save File Folder Recording folder path - The destination for saving the recording video files. Click Browse to specify the saving path. Snapshot folder path - The destination for saving the snap shot files. Click Browse to specify the saving path and select the format from the drop -down menu.
- 62 - Network Setting s – Displays the complete network settings information of the cam era. Video/Audio Setting s – Displays the complete video/audio settings information of the camera.
