Chapter 1. Product description The ThinkV ision ® C400 W ireless Pr ojector projects a bright, quality image that enables you to make professional pr esentations. Being lightweight and compact in size, the C400 W ireless Pr ojector is a great departmental solution and allows you to move easily from boar droom to the conference r oom.

Chapter 2. Setting up the projector This chapter provides information on positioning the pr ojector , connecting a computer source and displaying and adjusting an image. Starting the projector To start the projector , do the following. 1. Connect the power cord to the pr ojector as shown below .
Attention: Do not look directly into the projection lens when the lamp is turned on. The bright light might harm your eyes. 6. If you have connected more than one input device to the pr ojector , toggle the Source button to change devices. (DVD and HDTV are supported thr ough the DVI-I cable connector .
Note: Leave the power cable plugged in for at least 2-5 minutes until the projector r eturns to room temperature befor e placing the projector inside the soft case. Placing the projector into the case too soon after switching off the power could cause the pr ojector to overheat.

1. T wist the rings on the projector to adjust the focus 1 and zoom 2 , as shown below . 2. Use the Keystone buttons on the projector or the r emote to correct image-trapezoid (wider top or bottom) effect. The keystone control appears on the On Scr een Display (OSD), as shown.
Chapter 3. Using the wireless features This chapter provides information on using the wir eless features of the C400 W ireless Pr ojector . Installation Follow the instructions below to install the Lenovo W ireless Projecting Softwar e.
Note: If no WLAN adapter is found, the system will give a warning message, and the task tray icon will dim. 4. From the list of pr ojectors found, double-click the projector ’s ID. 5. If the projector is WEP-enabled, enter the corr ect session key from the projector screen.
To indicate that binding is on, the projector icon in the list of wir eless projectors displays a blue double arrow . Once binding is selected with one wireless pr ojector , the user can simply toggle projection on/of f with the hotkey combination Ctrl+F5 or by selecting Project and End Project from the system tray icon.
Status of the projector There ar e five working statuses of the projector: v Ready v W ireless pr ojecting v Wi r e d projecting v USB image display v Unknown Note: Projector pr operty cannot be retrieved during wireless pr ojecting.
Selecting adapter In the Adapter tab the current WLAN adapter will be shown. If there is mor e than one WLAN adapter in your notebook computer , you can perform wireless pr ojection while browsing the Internet.
In the Setting tab, the current binding setting will be shown. When Projector binding is checked, the projector binding function is enabled. The ID of the bound projector will appear in the box below Projector binding , as shown above.
Buttons of the remote emulation controller Listed below are the r emote emulation controller buttons and functions: v Menu : Open the projector OSD menu or go back to the pr evious menu level. Note: The OSD menu will only display on the projector scr een.
Right-click the Lenovo W ireless Projector icon in the system tray and select USB image display to start this function. Note: Yo u may also start USB image display with the projector OSD menu. For information go to “USB image display” on page 3-7 on page 5-3.
v Exit : Select Exit to stop Lenovo W ireless Pr ojector program. After starting the wireless pr ojection, you can right-click Wireless Projector system tray icon on the bottom right of the screen, then the follow tray menu will appear: v End Project : Select End Project , or press the hotkeys (Ctrl+F5) to end the curr ent wireless pr ojection.

Chapter 4. Connecting devices to the projector This chapter provides information on connecting devices to the C400 W ireless Projector . Connecting devices Computers and video devices can be connected to the projector at the same time.
To control your computer mouse using the pr ojector remote control, connect the projector to the computer with a USB cable as shown below: Note: USB mouse function is only supported with Microsoft ® W indows ® 2000 and W indows XP .
Chapter 5. Maintenance This chapter provides information on pr ojector maintenance. Cleaning the projector Cleaning the projector to r emove dust and grime will help ensure trouble-fr ee operation. v Be sure to turn of f and unplug the projector at least 1 hour before cleaning.
4. Remove the two screws fr om the lamp module as shown in 3 . 5. Lift the module handle up and pull up firmly as shown in 4 . 6. Reverse steps 1 through 5 to install the new lamp module. Note: The lamp module should be oriented as shown below when replacing.
Attention: This product contains a Metal Arc Lamp, which contains Mer cury . Dispose of it as requir ed by local ordinances and regulations. The USA restricts or pr ohibits the disposal of some or all lamps containing mercury in the municipal waste str eam.

Chapter 6. Using the projector features This chapter provides information on installing the r emote control batteries and using the remote contr ol, audio, keypad buttons, and other projector features. Before you begin Before you can use the r emote control, you must install the AAA batteries that come with this projector .
Using the remote control The figure below pr ovides an illustration of the remote. CAUTION: To reduce the risk of injury to the eyes, do not look directly into the remote control laser light and do not point the laser light into anyone’ s eyes. The remote control is equipped with a Class II laser that emits radiation.
Operating range This remote contr ol uses infrared transmission to control the pr ojector . It is not necessary to point the remote dir ectly at the projector . The remote contr ol will function within a maximum radius of 10m (32.8 ft) and 30° above or below the projector level.
Note: If the selected file is an index file (a plain text file with an .idx extension), the first file listed will be played after clicking Confirm ; otherwise, the selected file will be played. Previous This opens the previous image stor ed in the same directory until the first image is displayed.
Chapter 7. On-Screen Display menu controls This projector has an On-Scr een Display (OSD) that lets you make image adjustments and change various settings.
