9 Connecting a computer sour ce Requir ed computer connections Connect one end of the pr ovided computer cable to the Computer 1 or Computer 2 connector on the projector and the other to the VESA connec - tor on your computer .
10 Displa ying an imag e Press the Po w e r button. The Power light on the Status Indicator Panel ( page 14 ) blinks green and the fans start to run. When the lamp comes on, the start up screen displays and the Power light is steady gree n. It ca n take a minute for the image to achieve full brig htness.

22 Using the r emote contr ol The re mote uses two (2) pr ovided AA ba tteries. They ar e easily installed by removing the cove r from the remote’s b ack, alig ning the + a nd - ends of the batteries, sliding t hem into place, and t hen replac ing the cover .
23 Using the audio Using the projector’ s speak er T o use the projector ’s speaker , connect your source to the Audio In Com - puter or V ideo connectors.

25 Optimizing computer imag es After your computer is connected prop erly and the computer ’s image is on the screen, you can optimize the imag e using the onscr een menus. 27 Using the menus T o open the menus, pr ess the Menu button on the keypad or remote. (The menus automatically close af ter 60 seco nds if no buttons are pr essed.) Use the arrow buttons to move up and down to highlight the desire d menu, then press the Select button.

30 Setup menu Language : allows you to sele ct a language for the onscr een display . Custom K ey : allows you to assign a differ e nt function to the Custom but - ton, allowing you to quickly and easily use the effect. Highl ight an effect and press Select to choose a diffe rent one.
31 Ceiling Moun t : turns the image upside down for ceiling-mounted projec - tion. Rear Project : reve rses the image so you can pr oject from behind a translu - cent scr een. Pre vent PC Scr een Sa ver : pr events your computer fr om going into Screen Save mode.
32 Status and Ser vice menu Source Info: a read-only di splay of current source settings. Projector Inf o: a read-only di splay of cu rrent projector settings. Reset Lamp Hours: r esets the lamp hours used counter in the Projector Info menu to zero. Do this only after changing the lamp.
33 Maintenance Cleaning the lens 1 Apply a non-abrasive camera lens cleaner to a s oft, dry cloth. • A void using an excessive am ount of cleaner , and don’t apply the cleaner directly to the lens. Abrasiv e cleaners, solvents or other harsh chemicals might scratch the lens.
34 Replacing the pr ojection lamp The lamp hours used timer in the Pr ojec tor Info menu counts the number of hours the lamp has been in use. T wenty hours before the lamp life expires, the message “Change lamp” appear s on the scr een at startup.
35 • Be extremel y careful when remov ing the lamp module. In the unlike ly event that the lamp ruptur es, small glass fragments may be generated. The lamp module is designed to co ntain most of these fragments, but use caution when removing it. Before replacing a ruptur ed lamp, clean the lamp compartment an d dispose of cleaning m aterials.
