- 2 - A3 Laminator 1 . Intended use This laminator is intended ex clusively for use in priva- te households and for the hot and cold lamination of documents printed on paper or cardboard. Additionally , t he documents can be trimmed. It is NO T intended for use with any other materials.
- 3 - Overheating Protection This appliance is fitted with overheating protection. Should the motor become too hot due to ex cessive loading, the appliance switches itself of f automati- cally . In this case, disconnect the plug from the mains pow er socket and wait until the appliance has cooled down to r oom temperature.
- 4 - Risk of fire! • Do not use t he appliance in the vicinity of hot surfaces. • Do not place t he appliance at locations exposed to direct sunlight. This could lead to ov erheating and cause irrepa- rable damage. • Do not leave the appliance unattended when in use.
- 5 - 8. Preparing for hot lamination ➩ Inser t the foil guide rails q in the designated holes on the rear of the laminator . ➩ Fold out the document supports s , so that t he documents can be pulled in straight in to t h e slot for manual foil feed t .
- 6 - 9. Preparing for cold lamination If you hav e previously performed hot lami- nation: Af ter hot laminating, allow the laminator to cool down completely before beginning with cold lamination. Remember , the rollers inside the laminator will still be hot.
- 7 - ➩ If you do not w ant to star t another lamination process, turn the foil thickness switch o to ABS (OFF) and withdraw the plug from the mains pow er socket. 1 1 . Anti-Bloc king Switc h (ABS) At the star t of the lamination process, the pouch may be pulled in at an angle or jam itself inside the appliance.
