- 3 - • Check t he device and all parts for visible damage. The safety concept can work only if the device is in a faultless condition. • The pow er plug must always be easily accessible, so that the device can be quickly separated from the mains power supply in the e vent of an emergency .
- 4 - Thunderstorms! Equipment connected to a power supply can be damaged during a thunderstorm. Y ou should therefor e always remov e the plug from the pow er socke t when there is a thunder- storm.
- 5 - Commissioning Batter y operation The D AB Radio can also be operated with batteries. 1. Open the cover of the battery compar tment on the underside of the DAB R adio by sliding it down wards in the direction of the arrow . 2. Inser t six 1.5 V T ype AA/LR6/Mignon batteries into the designated recesses.
- 6 - Adjusting Time and Date. The time and the date are transmitted automatically by the radio stations. Should the D AB Radio not receive an y information, the time display star ts at 00:00: 00 . Operation D AB-Mode In D AB-Mode t he radio r eceives digital radio trans- missions.
- 7 - Note: If you select a D AB channel on which no sender group is transmitted, the last adjusted sender will be reproduced. Autoselect If you hav e activated Autoselect , using the multi adjustor VOLUME/SELECT you can dir ectly select a sender. 1. Press the button JOG MODE/SELECT .
- 8 - 3 . Hold the button PRESET S pressed down. In the display the indicator Preset appears and the num ber 1, for saved station position 1, blinks. 4. T urn t he multi adjustor VOLUME/SELECT to select one of the station saving positions, from 1-10. 5 .
- 9 - Time/Date The time and date are automatically corrected through the RDS Signal. If this information is not being transmitted, <Time/Date N/A> will be shown in the display . DLS (Dynamic Label Segment) DLS is an information ser vice running in the display .
- 10 - Alarm Function Y ou can progr amme in two alarm times, and then be wok en by either the DAB r adio, FM radio or one of two different alarm signals. Note: In mains operation the functions alarm, snooze and sleep are available without r estriction.
