7 Setting up the Projector There are a number of factors to consider when determ i ning where to set up the p rojector, including the size and shape of your screen, t h e location of your power outlets, and the distance between the projector and the rest of your equipm ent.
8 Projec to r Positioni ng The projected image becom e s lar ger as the distance between the unit and screen increases . The manual zoom allows the distance from t he scree n to be within a m i ni m u m and maxim u m range. See the chart on the nex t page for deta ils.
9 Choosing the aspect ratio Aspect ratio is the ratio of the image w i dth to image height. HDTV and m ost DVDs are 16:9, which is the default for this projector.
10 Connecting a video device You can connect video devices su ch as VCRs, DV D players, camcorders, digital cameras, video gam e consol es, HDTV receivers, and TV tuners to the proj e ctor. Connect the audio from yo ur video device to your stereo system t o get sound.
11 Compu t er conn ect ions You can connect a compu ter‟s VGA connector to the VGA input on the proj ector using a VGA cable. RS -232 c onnections You can control the projector from an L CD control panel or computer by connecting an RS - 232 cable to the projector‟s Serial control conn ector.

13 T roubleshoo ting your setup If your image appears correctly on the screen, skip to the next section. If it does not, trouble sho ot the setup. The LED on top of the projector indicates the state of the proj ector and can help you troubleshoot.
