9 DISHWASHER LOADING Loadin g Suggest ions ■ Remove leftover food, bones, toothpicks and other h ard items from the dishes . T o conse rve water and energy and save time, i t is not neces sary to rinse di shes before putt ing them into the dish washer .
10 Utensil basket Use thi s extra ca pacity b asket in th e back of the top rack to hold spatul as, wooden sp oons, and simil ar items. Cup shelves Fold down the extra shelf on the left-hand or right-hand side of the top rack to hold addi tional cups, stemware or long items such as ut ensi ls and spat ulas.

13 T o remove a small basket 1. Hold the cen ter basket an d one small bas ket. Slide t he small basket forward to release t he tabs from the corresponding slots . 2. Pull the bask ets apa rt. NOTE S: ■ Do not load silver or silv er -pl ated silverw are with stainl ess steel.
14 How much detergent to use ■ The amount of deter gent to use depends on the soil level of your dis hes, har dness of yo ur water , and the ty pe of detergent. If you use too littl e, dishes will not be clean. If you use too much in soft water , gl assware will etch .

17 Adding Items During a Cy cle Y ou can add an item anyt ime before the main was h starts. Op en the door and c heck the det ergent dispense r . If th e cover is st ill closed, you ca n add items. T o add item s 1. Open the door sl ightly to s top the cy cle.
18 Lock On Use the Lock On to prevent u nintended use of the d ishwasher between cyc les. When Lock On is li t, all but tons are disabled. NOTE : The dishwas her door can be opened whi le the controls are locked. T o turn on the Lock Press and hold HEA TED DRY for 4 seconds.

If y our dishwas her has a stainles s steel exteri or , a stainle ss steel cl eaner is recommended.
