60 Settings Basic Set tings The Basic Set tings menu contains se ttings to adjust the p itch, tuning, and general sound of the instrume nt. This menu also allows fa vourite panel se ttings to be stored, or reset back to the original fac tory conguration.
61 Settings 1 K ey T ransp ose The Key T ranspose set ting allows the pit ch of the CA95 / CA65 digital piano keyboard t o be raised or lowered in semi- tone steps. This is particularly us eful when accompanying instruments tuned for diere nt ke ys, or when a song learned in one key must be pla yed in another key .
62 Settings 2 Song T ranspose The Song T ranspose set ting allows the pitch of MID I les or CA95 / CA65 rec order songs stored on a USB memory device to be raised or lowered in semi -tone steps when played back .
63 Settings 3 T one C ontrol The T o ne Control setting allows the o verall sound character of the CA95 /CA 65 digital piano to be adjust ed to provide the best sound quality within the area that the instrument is located.
64 Settings Us er T one C ont rol The User T one Control option allows ner c ontrol ov er the instrument ’ s sound charac ter , allowing the volume of four frequenc y bands to be adjust ed indi vi du al ly . It is al so po ss ib le to ad just the freque ncy range of the mid -low and mid- high frequenc y bands.
65 Settings 4 Speak er V olum e The Speaker V olume setting allows the maximum volume lev el of the CA95 /CA 65 digital piano’ s speaker output to be reduced, providing ner adjustment control over the master volume.
66 Settings 5 Phones V olume The Phones V olume setting allows the max imum volume lev el of the headphones output to be increase d. The default setting for Phones V olume is ‘Normal ’ in or der to protect an individual ’ s ears from excessive v olume levels.
67 Settings 6 Li ne In L e v el (CA 95 on ly ) The Line In Level setting allows the volume level of the CA95’ s Line I n input jacks to b e adjusted. This set ting may be useful when using the USB Recorder function and at tempting to balance an ex ternal audio source with the instrument ’ s sound.
68 Settings 7 Li ne Ou t V olu me The Line Out Volume setting allows the le vel of the instrume nt ’ s Line Out output to be adjusted. 71 Settings 10 Dam per Hold The Damper Hold setting is use d to determine whether sounds such as organ or s trings should be sustained continuously when the sustain ( damper) pedal is pres sed, or whether these sounds should decay , naturally . 72 Settings Basic Settings 11 Four Hands The Four Hands setting provides an alternativ e method to enabling the Four Hands Mode function, and may pro ve useful in teaching environmen ts or sit uations where the function should be e nabled automatically ev er y time the CA95 / CA65 digital piano is turned on.
73 Settings 12 L CD Contrast The LCD C ontrast setting is use d to adjust the contrast of the LCD displa y . The contrast of the disp lay becomes sharper as the value increases. 1 . 76 Settings Vir tual T echnician Set t ings An experie nced piano technician is essential to fully real ise the potential of a ne acoustic piano. In addition to meticulously tuning each note, the technician also pe r forms numerous regulation and voicing adjustments that allow the instrument to truly sing.
77 Settings 1 T ouch C ur v e As with an acoustic piano, the CA95 /CA65 digital piano produces a louder sound when the key s are struck with force, and a softer sound when the keys are play ed gently .

81 Settings 4 Damper Nois e When the damper pe dal of an acoustic piano is pressed and released, it is of ten p ossible to hear the sound of the damper head touching and releasing the strings. The CA95 /CA65 digital piano reproduces this sound, with the Damper Noise set ting allowing the v olume of this sound to be adjusted.
82 Settings Vir tual T echnician Set t ings 5 St ring Resonance String Resonance refers to a phenomenon that exists in ac oustic pianos whereby the strings of held notes resonate ‘ sympathetically ’ with other notes of the same harmonic series .
83 Settings 6 K ey- o Eect When playing an acoustic piano – particul arly in the bass region of the keyboard – if a k ey is play ed with force and released quickly, it is often possible to hear the faint sound of the damper touching the strings immediately before the vibration s are stopped.

101 Settings 3 Local C ont rol The Local Control setting determines whether the instr ument will play an internal sound when the ke ys are pressed. This setting may be useful when using the CA 95 / CA65 digital piano to con trol an ex ternal MIDI device that is c onnected t o the in strumen t ’ s amplier /s peakers.
10 2 Settings 4 T ransmit Program Change Number s The T ransmit Program Change Numbers set ting determin es whether the C A95 /CA65 digital piano will transmit program change information via MIDI when the instrume nt’s panel buttons are pressed.
