4 Using Y our Kambrook Essentials Banquet F r ypan Befor e First Use Befor e first use wash, rinse and dr y your fr ypan and lid. Season the cooking surface by a pplying a thin coating of cooking oil with paper to welling. W arning: Do not immerse the po w er cord, plug or temperatur e contr ol pr obe in water or any other liquid.
5 Car e and Cleaning Cooking in y our non-stick Banquet Fr ypan minimises the need for oil. As a r esult the food does not stick and cleaning is easier . Any discolouration that ma y occur will only detract fr om the appearance of the fr ypan and will not affect the cooking perf ormance .
6 Buy meat strips fr om your butcher or fr om your supermak et, or pr epare meat strips fr om recommended cuts listed abov e by r emoving an y fat and slicing thinl y acr oss the grain (acr oss the dir ection of meat fibres). Slicing acr oss the grain ensur es tenderness.
7 Do not mov e the fr ypan during heating or cooking. Wipe moistur e from f oods to a void splattering. Cook a fe w pieces at a time to ensure crispness. Drain cook ed foods on pa per towels to r educe greasiness. Nev er lea v e your frypan unattended or unsuper vised while shallow fr ying.
8 Add soft or quick cooking v egetables such as mushr ooms, tomatoes, beans or corn in the last half hour of cooking. Thick en towar ds end of cooking by stirring in a little cornflour blended with water , or plain flour blended with margarine or butter .
9 T oasting Sandwiches Recommended temperatur e probe setting 8 Up to six sandwiches can be toasted at once in the Banquet Fr ypan. Choose fillings which will hold together and not spill out of the sandwich. Pr eheat the fr ypan. Butter the pieces of br ead well and place the sandwich in the fr ypan with the butter ed sides on the outside .
10 Recipes Orange pik elets 1 cup self raising flour 2 teaspoons sugar 1 egg 2 teaspoons of melted butter or margarine rind of 1 orange 1 ⁄ 2 cup milk Sift the flour into a bowl, add sugar . Mak e a w ell in the centre and br eak in the egg. Add the cooled butter , orange rind and almost all the milk.

12 Cov er and marinate for 30 minutes. Drain plums and r eser ve syrup f or sauce . Remov e the stones r oughly slice the flesh. Drain marinade fr om pork and pat dr y with paper to welling. Br own the pork fillets on high heat, setting 8 for a ppro x.
13 Beef and r ed wine casserole 750g diced lean beef (r ound, chuck or gra vy beef) 1 tablespoon oil 8 small (pickling) onions 2 teaspoons crushed garlic 2 lean bacon rashers, chopped 250g whole button mushr ooms 3 ⁄ 4 cup r ed wine 1 ⁄ 4 cup steak sauce Heat a little of the oil in the fr ypan on setting 10.
14 In a bowl, combine orange juice , mustar d, honey and mint sauce. Pour o ver lamb , during the last 15 minutes of cooking. During last 15 minutes of cooking, place pumpkin cubes, then asparagus in separate pans of boiling water . Cook until tender .
