24 Preparations Formatting the SD Card SD cards that a re being u sed for the first time will be format ted by this camcor der . When a card that re q uires f or matting is inserted, a message prompting you to f or mat the card appears on the screen. Push the S et Lev er up or down to select [YE S ], then pr ess the center of the S et Lev er.

27 Displa ying the Remain ing Space on the SD Card Displays a pie chart, which shows the remaini ng space on the S D card and the remaining time for each video recording mode. Preparation: Inser t an S D card. 1 . Display the remaining time. Press INDEX.

36 Shooting Using the Full A uto White Balance (F A W) Function The F A W function adjusts th e white b alance value automatically as the lighting condition changes. This mode is convenient when y ou have no time to adjust the white b alance or when the camcorder is mov ed fre q u ently in and out of places with different lighting conditions.
