1 VM9114 FEA TU RE S Congratulations on your purchase o f the Jensen VM91 14 Mobile Multimedia Receiver . It’s a good idea to read a l l of the instructions before beginning the installation. W e recommend having your Jensen VM91 14 installed by a reputable inst allation shop.

3 VM9114 CONTROLS AND INDICATOR S 1. CLOSE/OPEN Press to activate the automatic mecha n ical system and move the TFT monitor into viewing position. Press aga in to close the TFT . 2. PIC/BAND Press to adjust the Brightness an d Cont rast (see “Image/Display Settings” on page 6 ).
4 VM9114 Press and hold to activate the LOC feature. Re peat to deactivate. 12. RESET Press to reset system settings to fa ctory default (except the p assword and parental lock setting) .
5 VM9114 USING THE TFT MONITOR Open/Close TFT Monitor Open TFT Monitor Press the OPEN button (1) on the front pa nel to activate the mechanism that moves the display panel into the v iewing position. Close TFT Monitor Press the OPEN button (1) on the front p anel to load the display panel back into the compartme nt.

8 VM9114 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Power On / Off Press the /SRC button (10) on the unit to turn the unit on. Y ou can also turn on the unit by pressin g the OPEN button (1) and o pening the TFT screen. Press and hold the button to power of f the unit.The monitor is drawn back into the main comp artment.
9 VM9114 External Devices External peripheral devices, including a game console, camcord er , navigation unit, iPod, Zune, etc. can be connected to this unit via RCA output using an A/V Media Adapter Ca ble (not included).
10 VM9114 T ouch the EQ button on the lef t side of the screen to display the audio menu. Use the touch screen + / - buttons to adjust the settings for an audio feature. NOTE: The EQ mode will automatically change to “USER” when individ ual audio func ti ons are adjusted.
11 VM9114 SETUP MENU T o access system settings, touch the button on the screen to enter the “SETUP” menu. Th e “GENERAL” sub-m enu appears highlighted in blue. Accessing Menu Items T ouch the sub-menu nam e to select a sub-menu (La nguage, Audio, RDS, etc.
12 VM9114 General Sub-menu Features Language Sub-menu Features If a DVD supports more than 1 Subtitle or Audio language, all the languages are available for selectio n during playback. If the selected language is not Setting Options Function Clock Mode 12Hr Clock displays 12 hour time using AM and PM.
13 VM9114 supported by the DVD, then the default language is used. Audio Sub-menu Features Rating Sub-menu Features The DVD system has a built-in parent al lock feature to prevent unauthorized persons from viewing restricted disc c ontent. By default, the rating system is unlocked.
14 VM9114 T o reset the password, access the “ RA TING” menu and enter the cur rent password. Once the correct p assword is entered, you can access the “Password” field and ent er a new one. NOTE: Record the password and keep it in a safe place for future reference.

17 VM9114 Switching to Radio Tuner Source • T ouch the top left corner of the scree n to view the SOURCE MENU. T ouch “Radio”. • Press the SRC button (10) on the fro nt panel or remote control (8) to switch to the AM/FM or RADIO source.

19 VM9114 Local Radio Station Seeking (LOC) When the Local function is o n, only radi o stations with a strong local radio signal are played. T o activate the Loca l function in AM/FM tuner m ode, press and hold the rot ary encoder (1 1). When the Local function is active, the LOC indicator at the top of the screen is illuminated.
20 VM9114 DVD/VCD V IDEO OPERATION NOTE: When properly installed, DV D video cannot be dis played on the main TFT screen unless the parking br ake is applied. If you at tempt to play a DVD while the vehicle is moving, the TFT sc reen display a parking brake notice.

23 VM9114 Viewing an Al te rnate Picture Angle (DV D Only) Some DVDs contain scenes that have bee n shot simultaneously from dif ferent angles. For discs recorded with multiple angles, to uch the button on the second page of DVD on-scree n controls to toggle available angles of the on- screen image.

Media and Fil e Requirements This player allows you to play back MP3 and WMA files re c orded onto CD-R/ RWs, DVD+R/R Ws, and DVD-R/RWs.
