12 ASSEMBLING (HUSKY JET) Handle • P osition lower handle on mo wer so cut-off fl at is forward as sho wn and install 3/8-16 x 3/4" he x bolts and lock nuts . • Repeat for opposite side and tighten all bolts and n uts se cure ly . • Install the upper handle onto the low er handle, with rope guide mounting hole to right side.
13 ASSEMBLING (JET50R) Handle • The handle can be assembled in “HIGH” or “LOW” position depending on how the lo wer handle is installed on the handle brac ket pins . • T o install the low er handle on the handle mounting pins, squeeze the botton ends tow ard each other until the handle will slip onto the mounting pins.
14 Brake Y oke • P osition upstop brack et on left inside of upper handle and secure with hex washer head scre w . • Install the control bar above the up-stop br ack et, into the hole located on the left side of upper handle, with the hole in fl attened par t of control bar on the right side.
15 Engine Zone Control Cab le • Hook the offset end of the cable into the brak e arm of the engine. • Align the tapered end of the plastic fi tting with hole in the mounting brack et and push in until fi tting snaps into place. • Route the cable under the cross bar por tion of low er handle.
16 Throttle Contr ol • Set the throttle to the “MAX” position. • Inser t wire “Z” bend of cable into inner hole of speed le ver on engine . • Loosely install diecast clamp. • Push cable f orward until speed lev er touches boss and tighten clamp screw .

18 HUSKY JET Dischar ge Guard Place discharge guard on top of discharge opening of lawn mo wer housing. • Place brac ket on top of discharge guard, position brac ket and guard on mower and secure with bolts and n uts supplied. 19 HUSKY JET / JET50 Install Rear Foot Guard • P osition angle upward and secure with f asteners supplied. NO TE: The f oot guard must be installed f or the saf e operation of this machine. 20 JET50R T o Assemble and Attach Grass Catcher • Put grass catcher frame into gr ass bag with stiff par t of bag on the bot- tom. • Slip vinyl bindings ov er frame. • Lift the rear door on the lawn mower housing and place the g rass catcher frame onto the f or med up tabs on the rear door hinge brack et.
21 JET50R T o Empty Grass Catcher • T o remove gr ass catcher , release en gine brake y oke to stop engine . • Lift up rear door and remov e the grass catcher b y the handle. • Do not drag the bag when emptying, it will cause unnecessar y wear .
22 Filling with Oil Fill the engine with engine oil. SAE30 can be used. (Read the enclosed motor operating in str uc tions as well.) Ölaffülling Füllen Sie Öl in den Motor . Es kann SAE30 verwendet werden. (Lesen Sie auch die beiliegende Gebrauchsanweisung für den Motor .
23 1 2 "MAX" Starting and Stopping Place the mower on a fl at surf ace. Note: not on gra vel or similar . Fill the tank with petrol, not oil-blended . Both lead-free and lead-containing petrol ma y be used. Do not fi ll with petrol while the engine is running.

25 Use The mower should not be used on g round that slopes more than 30°. This could cause engine lubrication problems. 26 Maintenance Alwa ys remove the spark plug lead bef ore repair , cleaning or main te nance work. After 5 hours running time, tighten screws and nuts .

Slacken the scre w , remov e the lid and remove the fi lter car tridge. Cleanse the fi l ter in kerosene. Add 2-3 spoonfuls of oil and spread it e venly through out the fi lter .
