3 Setting Up the Monito r Un pac king t he Monitor 1. Unpac k the monitor . Mak e sure all conten ts ar e included . Stor e the packing bo x. 2. T urn o f f the comput er and other attac hed dev ices . 3. Determine whether the monitor will be desktop m ounted or wall-mounted.

Using t he Au to-Adjus tment Func tion Y ou can easily optimi z e the scr een performance for the V G A input by using the A uto/Select button on the monitor and the auto-adj ustment patter n software on the CD pr ov ided. Do not us e this pr ocedure if y our monitor is us ing a D VI or HDMI input .
F ront-P anel Contr ols Contr ol buttons ar e located on the low er right f r ont of the monitor: Using t h e On -sc reen Disp l a y (OSD) An On-scr een display is an image super imposed on a sc reen p ic ture , commonly u sed by monitor s, tele visi ons, V CRs, and DVD pla yers to dis play infor mation such as v olume, c hannel, and time .
OSD Menu Selec tions The f ollow ing table lists the On-Sc reen Dis play (O SD) menu selec tions and the ir func tional des cripti ons. After c hanging an OSD men u item , and if the menu scr een has these opti ons, y ou may c hoose to: ■ Canc el — to r eturn to the p r ev ious menu l ev el.
Management Selects the po wer- management featur es of the monitor . V olume Adj usts the v olume lev el. OSD C ontrol Adju sts the position of the O SD menu on the sc ree n. Horizontal OSD Position — Changes the vi ew ing positio n of the O SD menu t o the left or r ight ar ea of the scr een.
Management (continued) Sleep Ti mer Pr o v ides the time r- adjustmen t menu opti ons: Set Current T ime — Sets the cur rent time in h ours and minu tes. Set Sleep T ime — Sets the time y ou want to place the monito r in sleep mode . Set on T ime — Sets the time yo u w ant the monitor to w ake up fr om sleep mode .
