6 69-1701 Programming Your Hea ting and Cooling Sche dule Y our thermostat can control up to four di fferent schedule periods per day: W ake —Period when you awaken and want your home at a comfortable temperature. Leave —Period when you are away fro m home and want an energy-saving temperature.
7 69-1701 3. It is OK to pick multiple days. Select any combination of days to edit. These days are scheduled with the same times and tempera tures . Check marks appear next to days selected. 4. Press W ake key . Once pressed, W ake flashes to sh ow it is selected.
8 69-1701 9. When complete, press Done key . “Sav ing Changes” appears on the screen to indicate changes are being saved to the day(s) modified. NOTE: T o set a Program Schedule for th e remaining days of th e week, repeat steps 1-9. Example: If Mon - Fri was selected first, go back and repeat steps 1-9 for Sat and Sun.
9 69-1701 Cancelling a Schedule Period NOTE: Y ou may want to cancel a pe riod to match your lifestyle; for example, if someone is always home during the day on T uesday , you can ca ncel the Leave and Return period s (the thermostat would then control to the W a ke temperature until the Sleep perio d).
10 69-1701 5. Press “Cancel Period” key . The time, temperatur e(s) and fan setting disap pear . The bar above the selected period is removed, indicating the schedule d period was cancelled. NOTE: T o reinstate a schedule period, press arro w keys to set desired time and temperatures.

12 69-1701 Operating Your Thermostat Setting Fan and System Keys SETTING FAN KEY The Fan key selections vary based on your heating and/or cooling system type. On —fan runs continuously . Use this setting for impr oved ai r circulation or for more efficient central air cleaning.
13 69-1701 Setting Temperature Overrides Y our thermostat has three temperature override options: Hold T emperature Until, Permanent Hold and V acatio n Hold. HOLD TEMPERATURE UN TIL (TEMPORARY HOLD) Holds temperature temporarily until the next schedul ed period time or until the time the user se ts.
14 69-1701 3. Press the Cancel or Sched key to cancel “Hold T emperature Until” and resume schedule. NOTE: Once “Hold T emperature Until” time is reached, the thermostat shows “Followi ng Schedule” on the screen to indicate that “T emporary Hold” has ended.
15 69-1701 3. Press Cancel key to ca ncel “Permanent Hold” and resu me the schedule. VACATION HOLD Changes temperature setting for a designated number of days. 1. Press the Up and Down arrow keys to set the desired temp erature while away on vacati on.

17 69-1701 Fan Schedule Press Fan key while in the Scheduling Screen to program the System Fan. Choice s available from the Scheduling Screen: Auto (default position)—fan ru ns with equipment. Programmable for all schedule periods (Wake, Leave, Return and Sleep).
18 69-1701 Manual Override of Fan Schedule Auto —fan is automatically following the Fan schedule (choices ar e Auto, On or Circulate). On —overrides Fan sched ule. Fan is continuo usly On. Circ —overrides Fan schedule. Fan circul ates randomly for a pproximately 35% of time until the Auto position is selected.
19 69-1701 Replacing Your Batteries Not all thermostat models r equire batteries. If yo ur thermostat has batteries, a low battery warning flashes on the home screen for ap proximately 30 days.
20 69-1701 1. Remove thermostat from the base by pulling straight out. 2. Install three new AAA alkaline batteries so all positive ends alternate up, down, up.
21 69-1701 3. Place the thermostat back on its base by ali gning the terminal screw blocks with the pins on the back of the thermostat. 4. Push the thermostat straight onto the base. NOTE: All Program Schedule, Date and Time informatio n is ret ained while the batteries are being replaced.
22 69-1701 Cleaning Your Thermostat Screen The thermostat has a touch screen intera ction. Follow these steps to clean the screen without making thermostat changes: 1. Press the Screen key . Thermostat locks out all t ouch keys for 30 seconds to allow for cleaning.
23 69-1701 Reading Your Outdoor Temperature (Select Models) If your thermostat has an outdoor sensor , th e thermostat displays the outdoor temperature. VIEW OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE (SELECT MODELS) The outside temperature is located in the lowe r right corner of the Home Scr een.
24 69-1701 Reading Your Remote Indoor Temperature (Select Models) If your thermostat has a remote indoor temperat ure sensor installed, the thermostat displays the inside temperature on the screen from the remote sen sor(s). (Then the thermostat internal temperature sensor is not used.
25 69-1701 Reminder Timers (Select Models) These reminders noti fy you when to change your furnace fil ter , humidifier pad or ultraviolet lamp . When the time you set expires, the thermostat flashes “Change ” and then ”Filter” or “Chan ge” and “Humidifier Pad” or “Change ” and “UV Lamp” until you reset the timer .
26 69-1701 View or Reset Timer Set tings Before They Expire 1. Press More key until the T imer you want to modify appears on the screen. 2. Press Edit key to change the T imer reload value. Use Up and Down arrow keys to change the number of Run T ime Days.
27 69-1701 Partially Locked Screen When partially locked, the screen indi cates Screen Locked for 5 to 7 seconds whenever the user attempts to press a key that is locked. Pressing a locked key while Screen Locked is shown flash es Screen Locked on the screen.
28 69-1701 Fully Locked Screen In this mode, all keys are locked and not func tional. T o unlock screen, see Advanced Settings section. The screen continuous ly displays “Screen Locked.” Reading Your Inside Humidi ty Level (Select Models) Select models can sense the humidity level in th e hom e.
29 69-1701 Controlling Your Insi de Dehumidification Se tting (Select Models) Select models read the inside humidity level and set a desired humidity level to help control dehumidification in the home: 1. Press the More key until the inside humidity percen t and dehumidification setpoint are shown.
30 69-1701 Dehumidification Cont rol (Select Models) If your thermostat has dehumidification contro l and you set a dehumidification setpoi nt, the thermostat attempts to control to this dehumidification setpoint by turning on the air conditi oner .
31 69-1701 IMPORT ANT It takes about a week for the thermost at to adjust to local weather , your schedule, the construction of your home and your heating a nd/or cooling system. Y our thermostat learns from experience. Each day it checks how closel y it reached the recovery time and adjusts the next day’ s recovery start time accordingly .
32 69-1701 Advanced Heat Pump F eatures (Select Models) If you have a heat pump heating system, your thermost at can use some special features when used with an Outdoor T emperature Sensor , such as compressor and/or backup heat lockout based on outside temperature.

34 69-1701 Advanced Settings Y our thermostat has many advanc ed settings to match your h eating and cooling system. But you can change these settings to match your lifestyle: 1. From the Home Screen, press the System key . Five blan k touch keys s how on the bottom of the screen between the Done and Cancel keys.
35 69-1701 3. The User Setup Number is displayed in the lowe r-left screen. It is a four-digi t code beginning with zero. Current setting is displayed in lower-ri ght screen.
