1 Dolphin Net Base Quic k Star t Guide Intr oduction The Net Base charges up t o four mobile computers and ena b les each one to communicate with a host device over an Ethernet ne twork. Use only the peripherals, power cabl es, and power adapters from Honeywell.

3 P o wer Supply Setting up the Net Base 1. Make sure the ON/OFF switch on th e power adapter is in the OFF position. 2. Plug the power cord into the po wer adapter. 3. Plug the p ower connector cable int o the power connect or on t h e back of the Net Base.
4 Charging Use only the Li-ion battery packs provided by Honeywell. Use of any battery not sold/manufactured by Honeywell may result in damage not covered by the warranty. The Net Base char ges the main battery of each te rminal in less than four hours.
5 Configuring the Netw ork By default, the Net Base is configured to obtain IP addresses automatically via DHCP server. This means that in most cases you would simply “plug and play” the unit. If ne cessary, you can use the configuration utility for dyna mic network configuration.

10 Using the W all Mount Kit You need to purcha se two wall mount kits that each contain: • a mo unting brac ket, • three screws, a nd • six wash er/nut sets. You need two kits so that yo u have two mounting bracke ts–one for each end of the device–a nd enough screws (4) an d washer/nut sets (8 ).
