69-1 199—4 6 STEP 2. REMOVE OLD THERMOSTAT q T est your heating and cooling systems to make sure they wor k properly . If either system does not work, contact your local heating/air-conditioning dealer . T o avoid compre ssor damage, do not operate the coo ling system when outdoor temperature is below 50°F (10°C).

69-1 199—4 8 STEP 4. WIRE W ALLPLATE T ERMINALS IMPORT ANT All wiring must comply with local codes and ordi nances. If unsure about household wiring procedures, call your local heating/air-conditioning contractor . Refer to the labels you placed on the wires wh en you removed the old thermostat (see illustration).

When the batteries are running lo w , a REPL BA T message flashes for one to two months before the batteries run out completely .

Pressing the and keys change the temperature. T he thermostat displays day , time, program period, temperature and system settings.

(In a heat-only system, fan runs continuously only if fan relay is connected to the G thermostat terminal).
