1 Dolphin Net Base Quic k Star t Guide Intr oduction The Net Base charges up to fo ur mobile computers and enables ea ch one to communicate with a host device over an Ethernet network. Use only the peripherals, power cabl es, and power adapters from Honeywell.

3 P ower Supply Setting up the Net Base 1. Make sure the ON/OFF switch on the po wer adapter is in the OFF position. 2. Plug the powe r cord into the powe r adapter. 3. Plug the power con nector cable into the power connector on the back of the Net Base.
4 Charging Use only the Li-ion battery packs provided by Honeywell. Use of any battery not sold/manufactured by Honeywell may result in damage not covered by the warranty. The Net Base charges the main battery of each terminal in less th an four hours.
5 Configuring the Network By default, the Net Base is configur ed to obtain IP addresses automatically via DHCP server. This means that in most cases you would simply “plug and play” t he unit. If necessary, you can use the configuration utility for dyna mic network configuration.

9 Mounting Options The bottom panel offe rs two moun ting option s: 1. a DIN Rail for desk mounti ng or 2. a wall mount kit for wall mounting. Both the DIN Rail an d wall mount kits need to be purc hased separ ately. Using the DIN Rail Use a standard 7.
10 Using the W all Mount Kit You need to purchase two wall mount kits that each contain: • a moun ting bracke t, • three s crews, and • six washer/n ut sets. You need two kits so that you have two mou nting brackets–one for each end of the device–and enough screws (4) and washer/n ut sets (8).
