13 The hot gas unit coolers can be used in rev erse c ycle hot gas defrost sy stems using multiple evaporators connected to one condensing unit. Generally , not more than one -third of the system defr osts at one time.

15 The hot gas defrost unit coolers c onforms to the standard 3-pipe hot gas system using a check valve assembly , an elec trical control t o terminate the defrost, and a hot gas solenoid valv e. The check valve assembly transports the hot gas between the drain pan loop and the sideport distributor of the coil.
