8 Installation 3.1.2 Using the Optional Sun Shield The optional sun shield was designed t o increase the readabili ty of the displa y by screening it from direct su nlight. Installation 11 3.2 Electrical Installation D ANGER The instrument mu st be installed by qu al ifi ed tec h ni cal per sonnel for adherence to all applicable electrical codes. High-v oltage wiring for t he controller is conducte d behind the high v oltage barrier in the controller enclosu re.

Installation 15 3.3 Alarms and Rela ys The controller is equipped with thre e unpowered rela ys rated 10 0–230 V ac, 50/60 Hz, 5 amp re sist ive maximum. See the sens or manual f or rela y setup details. 3.3.1 Connecting the Rela ys The rela y connector accepts 18–12 A WG wire (as determined by load application).
16 Installation 3.3.2 Connecting the Analog Outputs T wo isolated an alo g o utput s ( 1 and 2) ar e pro vided, see Figure 3- 18 . Ea ch out put can be set to 0–20 or 4 –20 mA, and can be assigned to represen t the measured paramete r or secondary measurement such as temper at ure.
Installation 17 3.4 Connecting/Wiring the Sensor Cable The sensor cab le is supplied with a ke yed quic k-connect fitting f or easy attachment to the controller, see Figure 3-19 . Retain the co nnector cap to seal the connector opening in case the se nsor must be remo v e d.
