G06 4 1 Dou ble Miter Saw - 1 7 - T est R un Once the assembly is complete, test run your machine to make sure it runs properly. The test run consists of verifying the following: 1) The saw motors power up and run correctly, and 2) the front guard safety feature works correctly.

G06 4 1 Dou ble Miter Saw - 1 9 - Hol d - do wns The purpose of the pneumatic hold - downs is to secure the stock i n the desired position up against the fence and to prev ent the workpiece from being drawn into the center of the s aw by the rotational force of the blades.
-20- G 06 4 1 Doub le M iter Saw Lo wer i ng Sp eeds The low ering speed s of the hold- downs and blades are indep endently adjustable. The goal is to s ynchronize these rates so that the hold- downs grip the workpiec e before the blades begin the cut.

G06 4 1 Dou ble Miter Saw - 27 - L ubr ica ti on For the many moving par ts of the M odel G06 4 1 , there are three lubric ation systems: 1 ) the pneu - matic oiler at tached to the air regulator -lubric ator , 2) the lowe r pivot arm automatic oil system , and 3) manual lubrication of t he arbor housings and remaining pivot points.

G06 4 1 Dou ble Miter Saw -29- V - Belt Main ten ance With extended use, V -belts will stretch and may slip on the pulle ys. When this happens, they need to be re -tensioned. If t he V -bel ts are ex ces sively worn, c racked , or d amaged, t he y need to be replaced.
