10 REMOVE EXHAUST AD APTOR If exhausting/venting using the 3 1 ⁄ 4 ″ x 10 ″ r ectangular duct—optional for JV247, JV248, JV338, JV347, JV348 and JV367 models only: Remove the exhaust adaptor from the inside of the hood. Set it aside along with its mounting screws.
11 FOR 3 1 ⁄ 4 ″ X 10 ″ RECT ANGUL AR DUCTED DISCHARGE INST ALL A TIONS ONL Y: Attach exhaust adapt or/damper over the appropriate knockout opening (for vertical or horizontal, depending on installation) with two exhaust adaptor screws. Make sure damper pivot is near est to t op/back edge of hood.
12 D. Recirculating (non-vented ductless– JN327 and RN328, and optional on JV247, JV248, JV347, JV348 and JV367 models only) • Use the hood as a template and mark the locations on the cabinet for the electrical wiring and keyhole screw slots.

14 FOLLOW ELECTRICAL C ODE Complete the electrical wiring according to National Electrical Code and local codes. NO TE: This hood must be permanently grounded. Connect house wiring (120 VA C) to hood wiring. 20 INST ALL LIGHT BULB NO TE: A light bulb is not shipped with the hood.
