28 www .g ateway .com Understanding viewing fea tures Y our LCD TV features four viewing modes and Picture-in -Picture (PIP) mode. Y ou can switch viewing modes using the on-screen display (OSD) or the remote control. For more information on using the OSD, see “Using t he on-screen display” on page 31 .
29 www .gateway .com Pictur e- in-P ic tu re (PIP) mode Y our LCD TV features PIP mode so you can watch two pict ures at the same time. Y ou can use PIP mode if yo ur PIP video input sour ce is set to TV , A V1, A V2/S, or 480i DVD. PIP mode When PIP is turned on, you can display two pictures at one time.
30 www .g ateway .com PIP channel The PIP channel is independent of the m ain TV channel. T o change the PIP channel: ■ Press the PIP CH + or - button o n the remote control. PIP audio Y ou can listen to either the audio of the program in th e main picture or the prog ram in the PIP sub-pic ture.
31 www .gateway .com U sing the on-scr een displa y Y our LCD TV features an on-screen display (OSD) tha t lets you adjust and save c ontrast, brightness, and other settings. Y our LC D TV sa ves changes you make to t he settings, even if you turn off the telev ision.
32 www .g ateway .com OSD menu s and options Y ou can use these OSD menus and o ptions to adjust various sett ings for your LCD TV . In the following table, some of the menu o ptions can vary depending on the vid eo input sour ce that you are using.

36 www .g ateway .com U sing parent al c ontrols The parental controls feature prevents vi ewers from watching programs that are not age-appropriate, such as programs containing v iolence, adult language, or adult themes.
