1. MOUNTING 1-6 Printer (option) Printer PP-510 T o mount the printer , refer to the pr inter outline drawing at the back of this manual. 1. Select a flat surface.
1. MOUNTING 1-7 Junction box IF-8810/ DMC interface IF-8820 Note: DMC interface IF-8820 is n ot used for Russian version. T o install the remote box RB-880 0/RB-8810, wing handset, etc., the junction box IF-8810 is required. Inst all the junction box near the tran sceiver unit.
1. MOUNTING 1-8 Remote st ation RB-8800/RB-8810 (option) Up to four remote stations can be connected in a daisy chain. Note: For the remote station RB-8800, there are two method of cable entr y: bottom-side entry and rear-side entry . For rear-side entry , make one or two holes of more than 12 mm diameter .
1. MOUNTING 1-9 Out door mounting of RB-8810 Remote st ation RB-8810 with waterproof-type h andset HS-8800-W -35 can be mounted outdo ors. The hang er should be coated as dire cted below with silicon e sealant for waterproofness. 1. Fix the mounting base with self-t apping screws.
1. MOUNTING 1-10 VHF console Install the rack console where the equipment can be eas ily operated, checked and serv iced. Consult with shipyard personnel and ship's officer-in- charge to determine best location. The location must satisfy the following points: • Select a location where controls can be easily operated.

2. CONNECT IONS 2-2 Connection of VHF Antenna T he VHF ant enna is connecte d to t he trans ceiv er unit w i th a 50 ohm coax ial cabl e, ty pe 5D-2 V . Be sure t o leave s ome sl ack i n the cabl e f or fut ure servic e and mai ntena nce. Lay the coaxi al cable and at t ach an M -ty pe plug t o the cabl e (i f necessary ) as f oll ow s .

2. CONNECTIONS 2-5 Connection of AC/DC Power Supply Unit PR-240-CE The power supply PR- 240-CE is shipped read y for connection to a 200-230 V AC ship’s mains. If the ship’s ma ins is 100 V AC – 1 15 V AC, change the tap connection and termin al board connection as below .
2. CONNECTIONS 2-6 Protective earth Connect IV -2.0sq wire between ship’ s superstructure and the grou nd terminal on the PR-240-CE. Attach protective earth securely to the ship's body. The protective earth (grounding) is required for the AC/DC power supply unit to prevent electrical shock.
