The charge-only cradle is designed for a desktop , counte r top , or wall-mounted installation wher e a quick co nnection to a DC power sour ce is needed. The T ablet PC can be placed in the charge-only cradle and used while external DC power is supplied t o the cradle.
2 Installing the System in the Cradle T o install the T ablet PC in the charge-only cradle, y ou must first attach a D C adapter to the system ’ s DC por t. Attac hing the DC Adapter 1. Hold your syst em so that the left side (when viewed in portr ait mode) with the DC-in por t is facing you (Figure 1) .
3 V erify ing Batter y Size Determine whether your T ablet PC has a standard main battery or an optional high-ca pacity main battery installed. ■ If y our T ablet PC has a high-capacit y main battery installed, remo ve the spac er (F igure 2) th at is locat ed inside the cradle on the right.
4 Installi ng the T ablet PC in the Charge-Onl y Cradle 1. Place the cradle on the flat, stable location in which it will be used . 2. After v er ifying that the spacer is co nfigured correctly and the DC adapte r is attached t o the DC-in port, hold the system in landscape mode, with the b uttons arranged ac ross the top (Fig ure 3) .
