XF1 DIGITAL CAMER A Owner’ s Manual Thank you for y our purchase of this product. This manual describes how to use your FUJIFILM digital camera and the supplied software. Be sure that you have r ead and understood its contents and the warnings in “F or Y our Safety ” ( P ii) before us- ing the camera.

vi For Y our Safety The Ba ttery and Power Supply Note : Check the type of battery used in your camera and r ead the appropriate sections. The following describes the proper use of batteries and how to prolong their life . Incor- rect use can shorten battery life or cause leak- age, overheating, fi re, or explosion.
vii For Y our Safety • Do not mix old and new batteries, batteries with diff er ent charge levels, or batteries of diff erent types. • If the camera will not be used for an extend- ed period, remove the batteries . Note that the camera clock will be reset.

13 F irst Steps First Steps Charging the Battery Charging the Battery The battery is not charged at shipment. Charge the batter y before use . 1 Attach the plug adapter . Attach the plug adapter as shown, making sure that it is fully inserted and clicks into place on the charger terminals.

P lease note that the repair er will be able to view pictures in internal memory. • F ormatting a memory card or internal memor y in the camera creates a folder in which pictures are stor ed.

Set up the camera as described below (you can reset the clock or change languages at any time using the F DA TE/TIME or Q a options in the setup menu; for inf ormation on displaying the setup menu, see page 122).

If the subject is poorly lit, the AF-assist illuminator may light; see “ C AF ILL UMINA T OR ” ( P 128) for inf ormation on disabling the illuminator .

The camera may in some cases record an greater or lesser angle than selected or be unable to stit ch the frames together per fectly . The last part of the panorama may not be recorded if shooting ends be- fore the panorama is complet e.
