42 -EN Setup Before Using BLUETOOTH is a wireless technology allowing communi cation between a mobi le device or personal compute r over short distanc es. This enab les a h ands-free call or data transmission between BLUETOO TH compatible de vices. BLUETOO TH transmission is av ailable in the u nlic ensed 2 .
43 -E N BLUETOOTH Setup The following steps 1 to 5 are common to the v arious BLUETOOTH functions . For details, refer to each in dividual function. • While callin g, or in the BLU ETOO TH Audio sou rce, BLUETOOTH Setup o peration canno t be performed.
44 -EN Displaying the phone service p ro vider name Setting item: S ervic e Provider The service p rovider na me of the connected BL UETOOTH compatible device will be displayed. If a BLUETOOTH compatible device is not connec t ed, “ID UNSENT” will be displayed.
45 -E N Answering a Call Incoming calls are annou nced by the received call ring tone and a displayed message (Caller name/PHONE No.). T ouc h [ ] . The call starts. • Indicator (Signal S trength): While c alling, t he indic ator w ill displ ay the current signal s trength of your mobile phone.

53 -E N Searching for a desired So ng A USB memory can contain hundre ds of songs. By keeping these songs organised i n playli sts, thi s unit can use these to ease song searches . Using the sea rch mode’ s individual hierarchy , you can narrow do wn your search as shown in the table bel ow .
54 -EN Connecting an iPod/iPho ne An iPod/iP hone can be conne cted to this unit , by using the USB connecti on cable. W hen this unit is connected by using th e cable, th e controls on th e iPod are not fun ctional. • Other app lications ( Internet funct ion, etc.
55 -E N • If a song is p laying o n the iP od/iPho ne when it is connec ted to this unit, i t will continue playing after t he conn ection. • If the artist , album, genr es, composers, titl es, created in iT u nes, has too many characters, so ngs may not be played back when connected to this unit.
56 -EN Random Play Shuffle (M. I.X.) The S huffle functio n of th e iPod is displ ayed as on the IVE-W530 BT . Shuffle Alb ums : Album shuf fle play back plays back all songs in or d er , then randomly select s the next album. All songs of that album are played back in order , and so on.

64 -EN Installation The main unit must be mounted within 30 degrees of th e horizont al plane, bac k to fr ont. 1 Remove the mount ing sleeve from the main un it (Refer to “Removal” on page 64 ). Sli de the mounting slee ve into the dashboar d and fix it with the metal shackles.
