8 -EN Adjusting Volume Tu r n t h e Rot ary encode r until the desir ed sound is obtaine d. Lowering Volume Quickly Activating the Audio Mu te funct ion will insta ntly lower the volume level by 20 dB. Press MUTE to activate the MUTE mode . The audio level will decr ease by about 20 dB.
9 -EN Presetting Sta tions Manually 1 Selec t the radio band an d tune in a desir ed radi o station you wish to store in th e preset memory . 2 Press and hold, for at least 2 seconds, any one o f the pr eset button s (1 through 6) into whi ch you wish to store the station.
10 -EN Playback 1 Press (OPEN) . The fr ont pan el will open. 2 Insert a disc with the label side facing up. The disc will be pulled into the unit aut omatically . Close the fr ont panel manually . When a disc is alr eady inserted, pre ss SOURC E/ to switch to the DISC mode.

19 -E N Y ou ca n flexibly customiz e the u nit to suit yo ur own prefer ences and usage. From the SETUP menu, Gene ral Setting, Display S etting, etc., can be modif ied. 1 Press and ho ld F/SETUP for at least 2 seco nds to activate the SETUP selection mode.

23 -E N Storing Channel Presets 1 Press BAND to select the desired band yo u want to store. 2 After tuning i n the desired chann el, press and hold, for at least 2 seco nds, any one of the preset butto ns (1 th rough 6) into whi ch you wish to stor e the channel.

32 -EN The se tting of Parame tric EQ/G raphic EQ Adjustment , Time Correcti on and X-Ov er can be adjusted in this mode. Adjusting the P a rametric Equa lizer Cur ve Y ou can modify the Equalize r settings to create a r esponse curve more appeali ng to your personal ta ste.
33 -E N 3 Press SOURCE / to adj ust the slope . Adjusta ble slope: FLA T * , 6 dB/oct., 12 d B/oct., 18 dB/oct., 24 dB/ oct. * FLA T can be set for th e HIGH slope only when Use r’ s is selected in “Setting the Response Slope for the High Range Speaker (T W Setup)” (page 31) .

44 -EN Installation • Stick the supplie d cover sheet on the surf ace of the unit. • The ma in unit must be mount ed within 35 degr ees of t he horiz ontal plane, back to front. Caution Do not block the unit’s fan or heat sink, thus preventing air circulation.
45 -E N Removal 1. Remove the deta chable front panel. 2. Insert the bracket keys into the unit, al ong the gu ides on eith er side. Th e unit can now be r emoved fr om the moun ting s lee ve. 3.
