KEY FOB Locking and Unlocking the Doors and Liftg at e • Press the L OCK button once to lock all the doors and the liftg a te. • Press the UNL OCK button once to unlock the driver’ s door only and twice within five seconds to unlock all the doors and liftgate .
PO WER DOOR L OCKS • The vehicles power door locks are ac tivated by moving the inside door handles. NO TE: The vehicle ’ s door must be closed to initiate this f eature. • Push or pull the door handle to lock or unlock t he doors and liftga t e when the doors are closed.
SUPPLEMENT AL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS) - AIR BA GS • This vehicle has Advanced Front Air Bags f or bot h the driver and right front passenger as a supplement to the seat bel t restraint system. The Advanced Front Air Bags will not deploy in every type of collision.
CHILD RESTRAINTS • Children 12 years and under should ride properly buckled up in a rear seat, if available. A ccording to crash s tatistics, children are saf er when properly restrained in the rear sea ts rather than in the front.
Installing the Child Restraint Using the V ehicle Seat Belts • T o ins tall a child restraint, first pull enough of the seat belt webbing from the retractor to rout e it through t he belt pa t h of the child restraint, and then slide t he latch plate into t he buckle.
FR ONT SEA TS Manual Seat Adjustment Forward/R earward • Lift up on the adjusting handle , located at the front of the seat near t he f loor , and release at the desired position.
EZ Entr y Seats • Pull f orward on t he lever , located on the side of the seatback, to dump the seat- back f orward and slide t he seat f orward. This allows f or easier access to t he rear seat.
REAR SEA TS Folding Rear Seatback • T o f old each rear sea tback, push down on the button located on t he upper out- board side of the seat and f old the seat- back f lat. NO TE: Be sure that the front seats are fully upright and positioned f orward.
HEA TED SEA TS Front Heated Seats • The controls f or the front heated seats are located on the center ins trument panel area. • Press the switch once to turn on the heated sea t.
ENGINE BREAK-IN RECOMMEND A TIONS • A long break-in period is not requir ed f or t he engine and drivetrain (transmission and axle) in your vehicle. • Drive modera t ely during the first 300 miles (500 km). After the initial 60 miles (100 km), speeds up to 50 or 55 mph (80 or 90 km/h) are desirable.
TURN SIGNAL/LIGHTS/HIGH BEAM LEVER T urn Signal/Lane Change Assist • T ap the lever up or down once and the turn signal (right or left) will f lash brief l y to indicate a lane change and automatically turn of f. Headlights/Parking Lights • The ignition switch must be in the ON/RUN position f or the headlights to operate .
Headlight Delay (Follo w Me Home) • Within two minutes of the ignition switch being turned to the OFF/L OCK position or the ignition ke y being remo ved from the ignition, pull the turn signal lever towar d the steering wheel.
WIPER/W A SHER LEVER Front Wipers Intermittent, Low and High Operation • Move the lever downwar d to t he first detent f or intermittent wiper operation, the second detent f or low wiper opera tion and to the t hir d detent f or high wiper operation.
SPEED CONTR OL • The speed control switches are located on the steering wheel. Cruise ON/OFF • Push the ON/OFF button to ac tivate the Speed Control. • CRUISE READ Y will appear on t he instrument clus ter to indica te the Speed Control is on. • Push the ON/OFF button a second time to turn the sys tem off.
W ARNING! • Leaving the Elec tronic Speed Control sys tem on when not in use is dangerous. Y ou could accidentally set the sys tem or cause it to go f aster than you want. Y ou could lose control and have a collision. Alwa ys lea ve t he Elec tronic Speed Control system of f when you are not using it.
MANU AL CLIMA TE CONTR OLS Air R ecirculation • Use recir culation f or maximum A/C opera tion. • For window def ogging, turn the recir culation of f.
AUT OMA TIC TEMPERA TURE CONTR OLS (A T C) Automatic Operation • Push the AUT O button. • Selec t t he desired temperature by pushing the temperature control buttons. • The system will maint ain the set temperature automatically . Air R ecirculation • Use recir culation f or maximum A/C opera tion.
SPOR T MODE • The Spor t mode increases steering f eedback to t he driver with slight increases in eff or t and throttle pedal-to-engine response. Changes to the transmission shift schedules f or more aggressive shifting will occur on automatic transmission versions.
PO WER SUNR OOF • The pow er sunroof roof switch is located in the ov erhead console. T o Open • Press and hold the power sunroof switch rearwar d f or appr oximately two seconds and the sunroof will s t op at t he vented position.
PO WER CONVER TIBLE T OP OPERA TION • The pow er top buttons will operate when the ignition switch is turned to t he ON/ R UN or ACC position and when in the pow er accessory delay . • The pow er top buttons are located on the overhea d console. Low ering • Press the top open button once f or the par tially open position.
• At the end of Step 7 the top will automatically cycle to the fully open position, and then close to t he 1/4 open position. • This will confirm t hat t he relearn procedur e was successful. • Auto Open/Close will now be func tional. T runk lid operation will be func tional.
WIND BUFFETING • Wind buff eting can be described as a helicopter -type percussion sound. If buf f eting occurs with the windows down, or top down (convertible models), adjust one or both windows up or down slightly .

• As an added saf ety f eature, your vehicle has been equipped with a Tire Pressur e Monitor - ing S ys tem ( TPMS) t hat illuminates a low tire pressur e telltale when one or more of your tires is significantly under -inf lated.
BRAKE - Brake W arning Light • The Brak e W arning light illuminates when t her e is either a system malfunc tion or t he parking brak e is applied. If the light is on and the parking brak e is not applied, it indicates a possible brak e hydraulic malfunc tion, brak e booster problem or an Anti-Lock Brake System problem.
IF Y OUR ENGINE O VERHEA TS • In any of t he f ollowing situations, you can reduce the potential f or overheating by taking the appropriat e ac tion. • On the highwa ys — slow down. • In city traffic — while stopped, shift transmission into NEUTRAL, but do not increase engine idle speed.
JA CKING AND TIRE CHANGING Jack Location • Y our vehicle may be equipped with a temporar y spare tire. The jack and jack-handle are stowed in a bag under t he front driver’ s seat. Spare Tire R emoval • The spare tire is s to wed to the underbody below t he cargo area.
2. Fit the wrench tool over the drive nut. Use t he wrench to rotate the nut counterclock- wise until the spare is on the ground wit h enough slack in the cable to allow you to pull the tire out from under the vehicle . 3. Pull the spare tire out from under the vehicle.
5. Tilt t he retainer at t he end of the cable and pull it through the center of the wheel. Preparations For Jacking 1. Park the vehicle on a firm level sur f a ce , a voiding ice or slipper y areas. 2. T urn on the Hazard W arning flashers. 3. Set the parking brake.
Jacking Instructions NO TE: R ef er to t he “Compa c t Spare Tir e” sec tion of the “Tires-General Inf ormation” under “Star ting And Operating ” f or inf ormation about the spare tire, it's use, and operation. 1. Remo ve t he scissors jack and tool bag from under the driver's sea t.
3. T urn the jack scre w to t he left until t he jack can be placed under the jacking location. Once the jack is positioned, turn the jack screw to the right until the jack head is properly engaged with t he lif t area closest to t he wheel to be changed.
Spare Tire Sto wage • Re verse ins tructions of t he spare removal sec tion. • Rotate t he jack wrench tool on the winch drive nut clockwise until ef f or t becomes hea vy and an audible click is heard indicating the spare is properly s to wed. CAUTION! • The winch mechanism is designed f or use with t he jack extension tube only .
W ARNING! • Do not attempt to change a tire on t he side of the vehicle close to moving traffic. Pull f ar enough of f t he roa d to a void t he danger of being hit when operating the jack or changing the wheel. • Being under a jack ed-up vehicle is dangerous.
TIREFIT KIT • Y our vehicle may be equipped with a TIREFIT kit. The TIREFIT kit is located under the front driver’ s seat. • Small punc tur es up to 1/4 in (6 mm) in t he tire tread can be sealed with TIREFIT . For eign objec ts (e .g., scr ews or nails) should not be remo ved from the tire.
TIREFIT Usage Precautions • Repla ce the TIREFIT Sealant Bott le (1) and Sealant Hose (6) prior to the expiration date ( printed on t he bottle label) to assure optimum operation of the sys tem. Ref er to “Sealing a Tire wit h TIREFIT” sec tion (F ) “Sealant Bottle and Hose R eplacement” .
(C) Injecting TIREFIT Sealant Into The Def lated Tire: • Alwa ys s tar t t he engine bef ore turning ON t he TIREFIT kit. NO TE: Manual transmission vehicles must hav e the parking brake engaged and the shif t lever in NEUTRAL.
• If the tire inflates to the recommended pressur e or is at least 26 psi (1.8 Bar) pressur e within 15 minutes: 1. Press the Pow er Button (4) to turn off the TIREFIT kit. 2. Remo ve t he Speed Limit sticker from the top of t he Sealant Bottle (1) and place t he sticker on the ins trument panel.
(F) Sealant Bottle And Hose Repla cement: 1. Uncoil the Sealant Hose (6) (clear in color). 2. Locate the round Sealant Bottle release button in the recessed area under the sealant bottle. 3. Press the Sealant Bott le release button. The Sealant Bottle (1) will pop up.
W ARNING! • Do not attempt to seal a tire on t he side of the vehicle closest to traffic. Pull f ar enough off the road to avoid the danger of being hit when using the TIREFIT kit. • Do not use TIREFIT or drive the vehicle under t he f ollowing circumst ances: • If the punc ture in the tire tread is appro ximately 1/4 in.
JUMP-ST AR TING PR OCEDURE • If your vehicle has a discharged batter y , it can be jump-st ar ted using a set of jumper cables and a ba ttery in another vehicle or by using a por t able batter y boos ter pack. Jump-star ting can be dangerous if done improperl y so please f ollow the procedur es in this sec tion carefull y .
3. Disconnec t t he opposite end of the positive (+) jumper cable from t he positive (+) pos t of the booster batter y . 4. Disconnec t t he positive (+) end of t he jumper cable from the positive (+) post of t he discharged vehicle.
SHIFT LEVER O VERRIDE If a malfunc tion occurs and the shift lever cannot be moved out of the P ARK position, you can use the f ollowing procedur e to temporarily mov e the shif t lever: • Firmly set t he parking brake. • Remo ve t he shift lever override access cover located on the right side of the shift lever housing.
All T ransmissions • If it is necessar y to use the accessories while being tow ed (wipers, defrosters, etc.), the ke y must be in the ON/RUN position. Make cer tain t he transmission remains in NEUTRAL. Without The Ignition K ey • Special care must be t ak en when the vehicle is towed with the ignition in the OFF/L OCK position.
ENHANCED A CCIDENT RESPONSE SY STEM • In the event of an impact causing air bag deployment, if the communication network remains intac t, and t he power remains int a c t, depending on t he nature o.
Customer Action Customer Will See 8. T urn ignition OFF . System is now reset and t he engine may be starte d. 9. T urn Hazard Flashers OFF (manually). • If a reset procedur e step is not completed within 45 seconds, then the turn signal lights will turn of f and the reset procedure must be per f ormed ag ain in order to be successful.
EVENT D A T A RECORDER (EDR) • This vehicle is equipped with an Event Dat a Recor der (EDR). The main purpose of an EDR is to recor d, in cer tain crash or near crash-like situations, such as an air bag deploy- ment or hitting a road obs tacle, data t hat will assis t in unders tanding how a vehicle’ s systems perf ormed.
OPENING THE HOOD • Pull the release lever located below the instrument panel and in front of the driver’ s door . • Raise the hood and locate the saf ety latch in the middle of t he hood opening. • Move the saf ety latch while lif ting the hood at the same time.

FUSES Interior Fuses • The interior fuse panel is par t of the Body Control Module (BCM) and is located on the driver's side under the ins trument panel.
Underhood Fuses • A second fuse panel is located on t he drivers side of t he engine compar tment, next to the batter y . T o access t he fuses, press t he release t abs and remov e the cover . • The ID number of t he elec trical component corresponding to each fuse can be f ound on t h eb a c ko ft h ec o v e r .
TIRE PRESSURES • Check the inf lation pressur e of each tire, including t he spare tire, at leas t mont hl y and inflate to the recommended pressur e f or your vehicle. • The tire pressur es recommended f or your vehicle are f ound on t he “Tir e and Loading Inf ormation” label located on the driver’ s side door opening.
WHEEL AND WHEEL TRIM CARE • All wheels and wheel trim, especially aluminum and chrome plated wheels, should be cleaned regularl y with a mild soap and water to prev ent corrosion. • T o remov e heavy soil and/or excessiv e brake dust, use a wheel cleaner or equivalent or selec t a non-abrasive, non-acidic cleaner .
