4 Y our New W ashing Machine n A utomatic cooling of the wash water to 60°C before draining, with the 95°C programme. This reduces thermal shock to fabrics, helping to pre vent creasing. n The special wool programme with its new delicate wash system treats your woollens with e xtreme care.

1 Hea vy soil button By pressing the heavy soil b utton, the machine will take in cold water only on programmes with a water temperature of 50°-60°-95°C (programmes B-C and F). These would normally be hot or hot and cold. The water is then gradually heated to the required temperature.
7 Operating Sequence Before the first w ash, we recommend that you run a cotton cycle at 60°C, without any laundry in the machine, to remov e any manuf acturing residue from the drum and tub . Pour 1/2 a measure of detergent into the dispenser drawer and start the machine.

Star t the machine Before starting up the machine check that: n the appliance is plugged in n the water supply taps are turned on n the drain hose is correctly and securely positioned n the door and the detergent dispenser dra wer are closed. Depress the ON/OFF button : the mains-on light will illuminate and the machine starts operating.
9 W ASHING 2 KG OF MIXED F ABRICS A T 50°C Suppose you hav e 2 kg of Mixed fabrics to wash. They are rather delicate fabrics and should not be washed at a high temperature. 1. Load the laundr y Open the door by pulling the door handle outwards. Place the laundry in the drum, one item at a time, shaking them out as much as possible.
10 7. At the end of the pr ogr amme The machine stops automatically . If you hav e depressed the FULL RINSE HOLD button, the machine will stop with the water left in the drum, to pre vent the fabric from creasing. T o drain the w ater and spin, release the same button.
11 W ashing Hints Do NO T overload the machine. W eigh the laundry the first fe w times you use the appliance. The av erage weights of the most common items ar e listed below as a guide: 1000g = 1 kg .

16 Maintenance and Cleaning Before any maintenance or cleaning is carried out you must DISCONNECT the appliance from the electricity supply . Descaling The water we use normally contains lime. It is a good idea to periodically use a water softening po wder in the machine.
17 Clean carefully under a fast running tap. W arning When the appliance is in use and depending on the programme selected there can be hot water in the filter . Ne ver remov e the filter during a wash cycle, al ways wait until the appliance has finished the c ycle, and is empty .
18 Something Not W orking Certain problems are due to lack of simple maintenance or oversights, which can be solv ed easily without calling out an engineer . Before contacting your local Service Force Centre, please carry out the checks listed belo w .

24 Unpacking All transit bolts and packing must be removed before using the appliance. Y ou are advised to keep all the packaging for re-use in case the machine is to be transported again. Using a spanner unscrew and remo ve the rear right bolt. Lay the machine gently on its back, making sure that the hoses are not squashed.
