7 Installation Installation Location The appliance should be set up in a well ventilated, dry room. Energy use and efficient performance of the appliance is affected by the ambient temperatur e.
Installation 8 Grid pr eparation The side at which the door opens can be changed from the right side (as supplied) to the left side, if the installation site requir es. Warning! When changing the side at which the door opens, r emove plug from the mains.
Installation 9 6 8 7 2 3 10 11 9 12 13 Warning! After completion of the door rever sing opera- tion, check that the door gasket adheres to the cabi- net. If the ambient temper- ature is cold (i.e. in Winter), the gasket may not fit per- fectly to the cabinet.

Installation 16 Fitting the plinth Important! For the efficient operation of the appliance, it is important that the original ventilation grid is used. • For an opening height dimension A=820 mm and a plinth height dimension a=1 00 mm, the plinth may be fitted without adjustments.

19 Starting up and temper atur e regulation Important! Only use the appliance when built–in! ☞ 1. Connect the appliance to the mains electricity supply . When the refriger ator compartment door is opened, the internal light- ing is switched on. The temperatur e control knob is located on the right hand side of the refriger ator compartment.
20 Switching off the appliance To switch off the appliance, turn the temper ature r egulator to position "0". If the appliance is not going to be u sed for an extended period: ☞ 1. Remove all refriger ated packages. 2. Switch off the appliance by turning the thermostat knob to position "0".
Interior Accessories V ariable Storage Box Some models are equipped with a variable stor- age box which is fitted under a door shelf com- partment and can be slid sideways. The variable box can be hung from a storage shelf in the r efrigerator com- partment: ☞ 1.
Corr ect stor age For physical reasons, ther e are differ ent temperatur e regions in the fridge. The coldest region is on the lowest storage shelf. Warmer r egions are the top storage shelf, the vegetable drawer and the stor age compartments on the door .
23 Cleaning and Car e For hygienic reasons the appliance interior , including interior acces- sories, should be cleaned regularly . Warning! • The appliance must not be connected to the mains during cleaning.
24 An accumulation of dust will affect the performance of the appliance and cause excessive electricity consump- tion. The structure of the appliance permits you to clean the rear zone close to the wall, using a vacuum cleaner . ☞ 1. Remove the plinth (1), then the venti- lation grid (2); 2.
What to do if ... 25 The compressor does not start immediately after changing the temperatur e setting. This is normal, no error has occurred. Water in the bottom of the cabinet. Water dr ain hole is blocked. See the “Cleaning and Care” section. The compressor starts after a period of time.
