4 Important Safety Instructions These warnings ar e provided in the inter ests of your s afety . Ensur e you fully understand them befor e installing or u sing the appliance. 7 Y ou can remove any r emnants of adhesive using white spirit. Remove all adhesive tape and packing pieces from the interior of the appliance. Installation Installation Location The appliance should be set up in a well ventilated, dry r oom. Energy use is affected by the ambient temper ature.
8 Reversing the door The side at which the door opens can be changed fr om the right side (as supplied) to the left side, if the installation site r equires. Warning! When changing the side at which the door opens, r emove plug from the mains. Left door opening: Remove the grid from the appliance by pulling it towards.
9 To r everse the opening dir ection of the door , proceed as shown in the figures:.
10 Changing over the fr eezer compartment door Open the freezer compartment door a little way . Using a small screwdriver , press the spring in the opening of the lower door bearing slightly upwards and take the door bearing out complete with the door .
Remove covering and adjust the bracket locking nuts. Push the appliance into place. The plug socket necessary for connection of the appliance to the electricity supply should be positioned, so that the plug is not placed in the recess.

Fitting the plinth Important! For the efficient operation of the appliance, it is important that the original ventilation grid is used. • For an opening height dimension A=820 mm and a plinth height dimension a=1 00 mm, the plinth may be fitted without adjustments.

17 Starting up and temper ature r egulation Connect the appliance to the mains electricity supply . When the refriger ator compartment door is opened, the internal light- ing is switched on. The temperatur e selector knob is located on the right hand side of the refriger ator compartment.

Fr eezing and storing frozen food The freezer compartment is for fr eezing and storing food. Important! • The temperatur e in the freezer compartment must be –18°C or col- der before fr eezing fresh food or storing food alr eady frozen. • Do not freeze too lar ge a quantity at any one time (max.
Pr eparation of Ice Cubes Fill the ice cube tray 3/4 full with cold water , place it in the fr eezer compartment and leave to freeze. To loosen the fr ozen cubes, either bend the ice cube tray or hold it under running water for a few seconds.
21 Remove frozen food, wr ap it in several layer s of newspaper and store it, covered, in a cool place. Switch off the appliance and unplug it, or disconnect fr om the elec- tricity supply . Remove the stopper from the meltwater outlet and place a bowl underneath it to catch the meltwater .
• Never clean the appliance with a steam cleaner . Moisture could accumulate in electrical components and there is a danger of an electrical shock. Hot vapours can lead to the damage of plastic parts. • The appliance must be dry before it is placed back into service.

25 Changing the light bulb Warning! Ther e is a risk of electric shocks! Before changing the light bulb , switch off the appliance and unplug it, or disconnect from the power supply . Light bulb data: 220-240 V, max. 15 W To switch off the appliance, turn the thermostat knob to position "0".
