5 Oper ating Instructions 1 Safety Prior to initial start up • Note the ”Installation and conn ection instructions” • Before fir st starting up, check th e machine for any damage incurred during tr ansport. Never connect a damaged machine. If parts are damaged, contact your supplier .
6 Child safety • Keep packaging away fr om children. Risk of suffocation! • Children can often not see the dangers associated with electrical ap- pliances. Never leave unsupervis ed children near the dryer . • Ensure that children and small anima ls cannot climb into the dryer’ s drum.
7 Disposal 2 Packaging material The packaging materials are envir onmentally friendly and can be recy- cled. The plastic components are id entified by markings, e.g. >PE<, >PS<, etc. Please dispose of the pa ckaging materials in the appropriate container at your local waste disposal facilities.

9 Befor e the first drying cycle In or der to remove any residue which may have been produced during production, wipe the dryer drum wi th a damp cloth or undertake a brief drying cycle (20 MIN) with damp cloths. 13 AUDIBLE SIGNAL When the drying cycle has finished, an intermittent audible signal will sound. SENSITIVE For gentle drying of frequently-wor n textiles. Pr ogramme starts on full heat setting, which is then reduce d towards the end of the pr ogramme to ensure gentle care of laundry .
14 Changing pr ogramme To change a pr ogr amme which has b een selected by mistake once the progr amme has started, fir st turn the progr amme selector to OFF and then reset the pr ogramme. 3 The progr amme can no longer be changed directly once the progr amme has started.
15 Cleaning and maintenance Cleaning lint filter To ensur e that the dryer works efficien tly , the lint filter s (micro-fine fil- ter and fine strainer) must be cleaned after every drying cycle. 1 Cautio n! Never operate the dryer without fluff filters or with damaged or blocked fluff filters.
16 Clean the entire filter ar ea 3 The stra iner area does not have to be cleaned after every drying cycle, but should be checked regularly an d cleaned of fluff if necessary . 6. To do this, grip the top of the large mesh filter and pull it forwar ds un- til it comes loose fr om the two brackets.
17 Emptying the water r eservoir Empty water reser voir after every drying cycle. If the water reservoir is full, an active pr ogramme will be interrupted automatically and the EMPTY WA TER display will light up. In or der to continue the programme, the wate r reservoir must be emptied.
18 Cleaning heat exchanger If the HEAT EXCHANGE R display is illuminated, the heat exchanger needs to be cleaned. 1 Cautio n! Operating when the heat excha nger is clogged with lint can damage the dryer . This also increases energy consumption. 1. Open loading door 2.
19 Cleaning the drum 1 Cautio n! Do not use abrasives or steel wool to clean the drum. 3 Lime in the water or cleaning agents may form a barely visible lining on the inside of the drum. The degree to which the laundry has been dried is then no longer detected relia bly .
20 What to do if…? T roubleshooting by yourself If, during operation, the dryer shows an error display (one or mor e dis- plays flashing on the progr amme progr ess display), check first of all whether you can r emedy the problem your self by means of the table below .
21 When pressing a but- ton, the corresponding button flashe s several times. Washin g protection . After the start of the pr ogramme, the option can no longe r be set. Turn the pr ogramme knob to OFF . Set the programme again. Drum light does not work.
22 Changing bulb for interior light Only use a special bulb which is designed specially for dryer s. The spe- cial bulb is available from the local Service For ce Centre.
23 Pr ogr amming options Objective Imp lementation P ermanently p ro- gramme in the audible signal which reminds you that the pro- gramme is complete. 1. Turn the progr amme select or to any programme. 2. Press the AUDIBLE SIGNAL button and hold down for ap- prox.

28 1. Open door . 2. Unscrew hinge A from the fr ont of the machine and take off the door . 3. Carefully pry off cover plates B and C. To do this, insert a thin screw- driver into the slots as shown in the illustration, pr ess downwards slightly and pry out the cover plates.
