4 Oper ating Instructions 1 Safety Prior to using for the first time • Follow the ”Instructions for installa tion and connection” . Corr ect Use • The dishwasher is only intend ed for washing domestic dishes. • Additions or modifications to th e dishwasher are not permitted.
5 Diagr am of Appliance Contr ol Panel The ON/OFF button is used to turn the dishwasher on and off. Top Spr ay Nozzle Upper basket spray arm and lower sp r ay arm Water so ftener unit.
6 The Pr ogramme butt ons ar e used to select the desired dishwashing cy- cle. Function buttons : In addition to the pre-set dishwashing cycle, the following functions can also be set u sing these buttons: Progr amme progress display : The current stage of the pr ogramme is always shown in the progr amme progr ess display .
7 Prior to Using for the First Time 1. Set the water softener 2. Fill up with dishwasher salt 3. Fill up with rinse aid 3 If you wish to use 3in1 detergent, do the f ollowing: – First r ead the section “Using 3in1 deter gents” . – Switch on th e dishwasher , pr ess 3i n1 button.
8 2. Press function buttons 2 and 3 simultaneously and keep them pr essed. The LED indicators for function buttons 1 to 3 will flash. 3. Press function button 1 .
9 Adding dishwasher Salt To decalcify the water softener , it must be filled up with dishwasher salt. Use only special salt suitable for domestic dishwashers. If you do not use 3 in1 detergent, fill up with dishwasher salt: – Before using the dishwasher for the fir st time.
10 Filling Up with Rinse Aid Rinse aid causes the rinse water to flow easily from the crockery leav- ing gleaming dishes and glassware. If you do not use 3in1 detergent, fill up with rinse aid: – Before using the dishwasher for the fir st time. – When the control indicator for rinse aid is illuminated on the contr ol panel.
11 Setting the Amount of Rinse Aid Requir ed 3 Only change the amount dispensed, if smears, milky spots (r educe the amount) or dried on water spots (inc rease the amount) can be seen on glasses and dishes. (See section “I f dishwashing results ar e not satisfac- tory” .
12 Activating/Deactivating the Rinse Aid dispenser 1. Press the ON/OFF button. 3 If indicators for the pr ogramme buttons ar e lit, a dishwashing cycle is activated. The cycle must be deactivated: Press function buttons 2 and 3 simultaneously for appr ox.
13 In daily use Loading cutlery and dishes 1 Sponges, cleaning cloths and any other objects that can absorb water must not be washed in the dishwash er . Plastic and Teflon-coated dishes and pans tend to retain water dr oplet s. These dishes and pans therefor e do not dry as well as those made of china and stainless steel.
14 Loading cutlery 1 War n in g : Sharp knives and other items of cutlery with sharp edges must be laid in the cutlery rack or in the upper basket to avoid the risk of injury .
15 Po ts, Pan s, L arg e Pl at es Load larger and heavily soiled dishes and pans in the lower basket. (Max. diameter for plates 29 cm). To m ak e i t e as ie r to lo ad la rge r d is h- es, the two plate racks on the right in the lower basket can be folded down.
16 Cups, Glasses, Coffee Service Load smaller , fragile cr ockery and long, sharp cutlery in the upper bas- ket. • Arrange items of cr ockery on and under the folding cup racks so that they ar e offset from each other and water can reach all items. • The cup rac ks can be folded up out of the way for tall cr ockery items.
17 Adding Deter gent Detergents r emove the dirt fr om dishes and cutlery . The detergent must be added befor e the cycle starts. 1 Only use detergent intended for do- mestic dishwasher s. The detergent compartment is lo- cated on the inside of the door .
18 Concentr ated detergents To day’s detergents for dishwasher s ar e almost exclusively low-alkaline concentrated deter gents with natu ral enzymes in tablet or powder form.

20 Starting a Dishwashing Cycle 1. Check that the spray arms can turn fr eely . 2. Turn the water tap on fully . 3. Close the door . 4. Press the ON/OFF button. 5. Select the desired cycle. The progr amme display lights up. One or two lights will flash in the progr amme progr ess display .
21 2. Press the Delay Timer button r epeatedly until the indicator next to the number of hours for which the start of the dishwashing cycle is to be delayed lights up, e.
22 Car e and cleaning 1 Do not use furnitur e care pr oducts or aggressive cleaners. • When necessary , clean the dishwasher’s controls with a soft cloth. • Occasionally check the internal dispensers, door seal and water inlet filter (if fitted) for dirt and clean them, if necessary .
23 What to do if... Remedying small malfunctions If while the appliance is operating indicator s on the control panel flash or are lit up as described in the foll owing table, please consult this to find out how to remedy the fa ult.
24 If the Dishwashing Resu lts ar e not Satisfactory The dishes are still dirty . • The wrong dishwashing cycle was selected. • The dishes were loaded is such a way that the dishwashing water did not re ach all items. The baskets for the dishes must not be overload- ed.
25 The dishes do not dry and are not shining. • P oor quality rinse aid was used. • The rinse aid dispenser is empty . There ar e smears, streaks , milky spot s or a shiny bluish coating on glasses and dishes. • Lower rinse aid dosage. There ar e dried water drop s on the glasses and dishes.

29 Installation and connection instructions 1 Safety Information for the Installation • Only transport the dishwasher in an upright position, otherwise salt water may run out. • Before using the dishwasher f or the fir st ti me, check for any damage caused in transport.
30 Installing the Dishwasher • The dishwasher must be installed on a firm floor and adjusted to en- sure that it is stable and level in all directions. • To compensate for unevenness in the floor and to match the height of the appliance to that of sur- rounding units, extend the thr ead- ed feet using a screwdriver .
31 Fr ee-standing appliances 1 If the dishwasher is installed direct ly next to a cooker , a heat-insulat- ing, non-flammable panel (laminated with aluminium foil on the side next to the cooker) must be fitted flush with the to p edge of the work surface (depth 57.
32 Connecting the dishwasher Connecting to the water supply • The dishwasher can be connected to cold and hot water supplies up to max. 60°C. • The dishwasher must not be connec te d to open hot water appliances or instantaneous water heaters.
33 W ater drainage Drain hose 1 The drain h ose must not be kinked, crushed or entangled.
