4 Safety PREVENT FIRE Do not wash items that have been previously • cleaned in, soaked in, or spotted with gaso- line, cleaning solvents, kerosene, cooking oils, waxes, etc. Do not store these items on or near the washer . These substances give off vapors or chemical reactions that could ignite or explode.
5 W ARNING HARMFUL V APOR HAZARD Do not use or mix liquid chlorine bleach with other household chemicals such as toilet cleaners, rust removers, acid or pr oducts containing ammonia. These mixtures can pr oduce dangerous fumes which can cause serious injury or death.

8 BEFORE USING YOUR WASHER Read these important instructions in this section of the Use and Care Guide before operating your washer . OPERA TING YOUR WASHER Sort laundry into loads that can be 1. washed together . Sort items by recommended cycle and water temperature.
9 3. Pr etreat stains and heavy soil. See Stain Removal Guide in this guide or Stain Guides in the LCD User Interface for safe, successful stain removal instructions. 4. Add laundry load to washer . Combine lar ge and small items in a load. Load lar ge items fi rst.
10 5 . Add laundry products to the dispenser . IMPOR T ANT Open and close the dispenser drawer slowly . Closing the drawer too quickly could result in early dispensing of the bleach or fabric softener . IMPOR T ANT Save the liquid cup insert for future use.
11 IMPOR T ANT Do not mix liquids and powders. IMPOR T ANT T o prevent fabric damage, do not overfi ll the “Liquid Bleach” chamber or pour liquid chlorine bleach directly onto the load. IMPOR T ANT Use of multi-product (deter gent plus softener) sheets or color -absorbing sheets NOT recommended.
12 Operating Instructions 6. Select the appr opriate cycle and settings for the load. T ur n the cycle selector knob in either direc- tion to select the cycle desired.
13 Operating Instructions 7. Start the washer . Close the door and press start . The washer will not operate with the door unlatched and DOO R OP EN will be displayed. Select delay start to delay the beginning of the cycle for up to 22 hours if desired.

15 Operating Instructions Cycle Selection, continued DEEP CLEAN SANITIZE Use the deep clean sanitize cycle to clean and sanitize heavily soiled, colorfast fabrics includ- ing towels, bedding, cloth diapers, and children’ s clothing.

17 Operating Instructions STUFFED ANIMALS W ash stuffed animals and soft toys with the STUFFED ANIMALS cycle. W ash temperature is auto temp cold , with a mid-agitation injection of steam to release stubborn stains. T o prevent deformation of toys, freshwater rinse and low spin speed are also pr eset selections.

20 Operating Instructions W ashing/Rinsing T emperatur e The appropriate washing temperatur e will auto- matically be indicated for the cycle selected. NOTE T o change the temperature once the cycle has begun, press the pause button, make the new selection and press start again.
21 Operating Instructions SANITIZE TEMP This setting sanitizes heavily soiled white and color - fast fabrics such as towels, bedding, and children’ s clothing by killing 99.9% of bacteria using wash water heated with a boost heater to 152° F (67° C).
22 Adjust the wash time in 3-minute increments based on the soil level of each load. Minimum soil , light soil , normal soil , medium soil , heavy soil and maximum soil levels ar e available. Operating Instructions Maximum spin , high spin , medium spin , mini- mum spin , and low spin speeds are available for each cycle.

28 Operating User Interface Featur es Saving Favorites Use the save as favorite feature to name and save a custom cycle to memory with all options and settings preferr ed. Up to 3 favorites may be saved for each custom user . Follow these steps: Select a cycle, washing temperature, spin speed, • soil level and other options desired.

The time may increase if water pressur e is low , oversudsing occurs or the load becomes unbalanced. The approximate time remaining will be displayed during the cycle.
