4 OPERA TION Bef ore using Remov e all secur ing tapes. W ash inside the appliance with luke war m water and bicarbonate of soda (5 ml to 0.5 litre of water).
5 F ast-freezing F or f ast-freezing, push the f ast freeze s witch (D). The f ast control light (C) will then light up . The f ast-freezing function accelerates the freezing of fresh f ood and, at the same time, protects f oodstuffs already stored from undesirab le warming.
6 Normal Operating Sounds • Y ou ma y hear f aint gurgling or bub bling sounds when the refrigerant is pumped through the coils or tubing at the rear , to the cooling plate/e v aporator or to the fix ed freezer shelv es.
7 Mo v able shelves The walls of the refrigerator ha ve runners so that the shelves can be positioned as desired . F or better use of space, the front half-shelv es can lie ov er the rear ones. P ositioning the door shelves T o per mit storage of food pac kages of various sizes, the door shelves can be adjusted in height.
8 Food Storage • T o obtain the best results from your appliance, neither hot f oods nor liquids which ma y e v aporate, should be placed in the larder compar tment. • K eep the time between buying chilled f ood and placing it in your fridge as shor t as possible .
Defr osting Refrigerator The refrigerator automatically defrosts ev er y time the compressor stops. The w ater is discharged, via the pipe, into a tra y located at the back of the appliance abov e the compressor, where it e vaporates .

17 Push appliance into housing until stop strip (A) touches the kitchen unit. F or a correct alignment make sure that the distance between the appliance and the cabinet is of 44 mm. Open the door and push the appliance against the side of the kitchen unit opposite to that of appliance hinges.
18 Place guide (A) on the inside par t of the fur niture door , up and down as shown in the figure and mark the position of e xternal holes.
