5 Operating Instructions 1 Safety Electrical Safety • The appliance may only be connecte d by a qualified electrican / compe- tent person. • In the event of any faults or damage to th e appliance: remove fuses or switch off.
6 T o A void Damaging Y our Appliance • Do not line your oven wit h aluminium foil and do not place a baking tray or dish on the oven floor , otherwise the oven enamel will be damaged by the resul ting build up of heat. • Juice from fruit that drips fr om baking trays will leave marks that cannot be removed.

10 Befor e using for the first time Initial Cleaning Before using the oven for the first time you should clean it thor oughly . 1 Caution: Do not use any caustic , abrasive cleaners! The surface could be damaged. 3 T o clean any metal fr ont panels use commer cially available cl eaning agents.
11 Operating the Oven Switching the Oven On and Of f 1. T ur n the “oven functions” switch to the r equired function. 2. T ur n the “temperatur e selection” swi tch to the requir ed temperatur e. The red temperatur e pilot light is only illuminated whilst the oven is heating up.
12 Oven Functions The oven has the following functions: L Oven lighting With this function you can illuminate the oven interior e.g. for cleaning. The heating element is not in use. ¡ Conventional For baking or ro asting on one level . The conventional heating eleme nts are in use.
13 Attaching/Removing the Grill Pan Handle The handle is particularly useful for removing the grill pan and tray more easily fr om the hot oven. Attaching the handle Insert the handle at an angle from above into the recess in the side of the grill pan (1) lift it gently and then lower it (2) until you hear it click into place.
14 Minute Minder This function has no ef fect on the oven operation. T ur n the contr ol knob to 60 minutes, then turn it back to the desired length of time. (60 minutes maximum). A signal is sounded when the set time has elapsed. T o change your setting, just turn the knob to the desir ed duration.
15 Usage, T ables and Tips Baking Use conventio nal ¡ oven function for baking. Baking tins Coated baking tins and tins made of dark metal are suitable for conventional ¡ heat. Shelf posi tions Baking with conventional ¡ is only possible on one shelf position at a time.

22 Grilling For grilling use the infrar ed grill ¸ oven function or infrared wide-area grill º with temperature setting. 1 Wa r ni n g: Always close the oven door when grilling. 3 Always pre-heat the empty ove n using the grill functions for 5 minutes! 27 Shelf Support Rails The shelf support rails on the left and right hand sides of the oven can be r e- moved for cleaning the side walls. Removing the shelf support rails First pull the front of the rail away from the oven wall (1) and then unhook at the back (2).

29 Oven Door The oven door of your appliance may be removed for cleaning. Removing the oven door 1. Open the oven door completely . 2. Completely fold back the brass-col- oured clamping lever on both door hinges. 3. Grip the oven door with both hands on the sides and close it to about 3/4 going past the point of resist- ance.
30 Oven Door Glass The oven door is fitted with two glass panels mounted one behind the other . The inner panel can be removed for cleaning. 1 Caution: the following steps must be performed only with the oven door re- moved! If the glass is removed while the door is attached, the lighter weight may cause it to spring up and cause injury .
