7 T ouch Contro l sensor fields The appliance is operated using the T ouch Control sensor fields. Func- tions are contr olled by touching sensor fields and confirmed by dis- plays. Touch the sensor fields fr om abov e, without covering other sensor fields.
8 Oper ating the appliance Switching the appliance on and off Selecting the cooking zone 3 The decimal point is displayed by the selected cooking zone. Then a heat setting must be set for this cooking zone within 6 seconds, other- wise it must be re-selected.
9 Switching the double ring cooking zone on and off With the dual cooking zone the heating surface can be matched to the size of the cookware. 3 When a heat settin g is selected, bot h zones are switched on and the pi- lot light illuminates. Using the child safety device The child safety device prevents unintentional use of the appliance.

11 Tips on cooking and frying 3 Information about acrylamides According to the latest scientific r esear ch, inte nsive browning of food, especially in products cont aining stark, may presen t a health risk due to acrylamide. Therefor e we r ecommend cooking at low temperatures and not browning foods too much.
