6 How to avoid damage to the appliance • Do not line the oven with alumin ium foil and do not place baking tr ays, pots, etc. on the oven floor , as the heat that builds up will dam- age the oven enamel. • Fruit juices dripping from the baki ng tr ay will leave stains, which you will not be able to r emove.

10 Befor e using for the first time Setting and changing the curr ent time 3 The oven only oper ates wh en the time has been set. When the appliance has been con- nected to the electrical supply or when there has been a power cut, the function indicator Time flashes automatically .
11 Initial Cleaning Befor e using the oven for the fir st time you should clean it thor oughly . 1 Caut ion: Do not use any caustic, abr asive cleaner s! The surface could be damaged. 3 T o clean any metal fr ont panels use commercially available cleaning agents.
12 Oper ating the Oven Switching the Oven On and Off 1. T urn the oven functions contro l knob to the desir ed function. 2. T urn the temperatur e contr ol knob to the desired temper atur e. The power indicator is lit while the oven is on. The temper ature power indicator is lit while the oven is heating up.

15 Clock Functions Countdown T o set a countdo wn. A signal sounds after the time has elapsed. This function does not affect the oper ation of the oven. Cook time T o set how long the oven is to be in use. End time T o set when the oven is to switch off again.
16 3 How to use the clock functions • When a function has been selected , the corresponding function indi- cator flashes for appr ox. 5 seconds. During this time the desired times can be set using the or button. • When the desir ed time has been set, the function indi cator flashes for appr ox.
17 Countdown 1. Pr ess Selection button r epeated- ly , until the function indicat or Countdown flashes. 2. Using the or button, set the r equired Countdown (max. 2 hour s 30 minutes). After appr ox. 5 second s, the display shows the r emaining time. The function indicator Countdown will light up.

20 Cook time and End time combined 3 Cook time and End time can be used simultaneously , if the oven is to be automatically switched on and off at a later time . 1. Using the function Cook time set the period of time that the dish re- quir es to co ok.

22 Gener al instructions With Ventitherm ® Fan Operated Cooking you can also bake two cakes at the same time in tins placed next to each other on the shelf. This does not significantly incr ease baking time. 3 When fr ozen foods are used the tr ay s inserted may distort during cook- ing.

31 Grill sizes Oven function: Full Width Dual Grill with maximum temper atur e setting 1 Important: Always grill with the oven door clo sed. 3 The empty oven should always be pr e-heated with the grill functions for 5 minutes . • For grilling, place the shelf in the recommended shelf position .
32 Defr osting Oven function: F an Contr olled Defr osting (no temper ature set- ting) • Unpack the food and place it on a plate on the oven shelf. • Do not cover with a plate or bowl, as these can substantially lengthen the defr osting time. • For defrosting, place the shelf on the 1st oven level from the bot- tom.
33 Cleaning and car e 1 Wa r n i n g : For cleaning, the appliance must be switched off and cooled down. Wa r n i n g : For safety reasons, do not clean the appliance with steam jet or high-pr essure cleaning equipment. Important: Do not use any abrasive cleaners , sharp scrapers or abrasive items .
34 Shelf Support Rails The shelf support r ails on the left an d right hand sides of the oven can be r emoved for cleaning the side walls. Removing the shelf support r ails Fir st pull the fr ont of the r ail away fr om the oven wall (1) and then un- hook at the back (2).
35 Oven Lighting 1 Wa r n i n g : Risk of electric shock! Prior to changing the oven light bulb: – Switch off the oven! – Disconnect fr om the electricity supply . 3 Place a cloth on the oven floor to protect the oven light and glass cov- er . Changing the oven light bulb/ cleaning the glass cover 1.
36 Oven Roof The upper heating element can be folded down to make it easier to clean the oven r oof. Folding down the heating ele- ment 1 W arning: Only fold down the heating element when the oven is switched off and ther e is no risk of being burnt! 1.
37 Clean the oven roof Repositioning the heating ele- ment 1. Move the heating element back up towar ds the oven roof. 2. Pull the heating element forwards against the spring pressur e and guide it over the oven support lug. 3. Settle it onto the support.
38 Oven door For easier cleaning of the oven inte rior the oven door of your appliance can be taken off its hinges. Removing the oven door fr om its hinges 1. Open the oven door as far as it will go. 2. Undo the clamping levers (A) on both door hinges fully .
39 Hanging the oven door back on its hinges 1. Fr om t he handle side t ake hold of the oven door with a hand on each side and hold at an angle of appr ox. 45°. P osition the recesses on the bottom of the oven door on the hinges on the oven. Let the door slide down as far as it will go.
40 Oven door glass The oven door is fitted with two panels of glass mounted one behind the other . The inner panel can be r emoved for cleaning. 1 Important Rough handling, especially ar ound the edges of the fr ont panel, can cause the glass to break.
41 4. T ake hold of the door trim (B) on the upper edge of the door at both sides and press inwar ds to r elease the clip seal. Then remove the door trim by pulling upwar ds . 5. T ake hold of the door glass on its upper edge and take it out of the guide by pulling it upwards.
42 2. T ake hold of the door trim (B) at each side, position it on the insi de edge of the door and plug the door trim (B) into the upper edge of the door . 3 On the open side of the door trim (B) there is a guide bar (C). Thi s must be pushed between the outer door panel and the guide corner (D).
43 3. Open the oven door as far as it will go. 4. Fo ld u p th e clamping levers (A) on both door hinges back into their original positions. 5. Close the oven door .

45 Electrical Connection The oven is designed to be conn ected to 230-240 V~(50Hz) electricity supply . The oven has an easily accessible te rminal blo ck which is mark ed as follows: 1 This oven must be earthed! The cable used to connect the oven to the electrical supply must comply to the specifications given below .
46 Disposal 2 P ackaging material The packaging materials ar e environmentally friendly and can be r ecy- cled. The plastic components ar e id entified by markings, e.g. >PE<, >PS<, etc. Please dispose of the pa ckaging materials in the appropriate container at your local waste disposal facilities.
