6 How to avoid damage to the appliance • Do not line the oven with alumin ium foil and do not place baking trays, pots, etc. on the oven floor , as the heat that builds up will dam- age the oven enamel. • Fruit juices dripping fr om the baking tray will leave stains, which you will not be able to r emove.

10 Befor e using for the first time Setting and changing the current time 3 The oven only operates when the time has been set. When the appliance has been con- nected to the electrical supply or when ther e has been a power cut, the function indicator Time flashes automatically .
11 Initial Cleaning Before using the oven for t he first ti me you should clean it thoroughly . 1 Caution: Do not use any caustic, abrasive cleaner s! The surface could be damaged. 3 To clean any metal front panels us e commer cially available cleaning agents.
12 Oper ating the Oven Switching the Oven On and Off 1. Turn the oven functions contro l knob to the desired function. 2. Turn the temperature contr ol knob to the desired temper ature. The power indicator is lit while the oven is on. The temperatur e power indicator is lit while the oven is heating up.

15 Clock Functions Countdown To set a countdown. A signal so unds after the time has elapsed. This function does not affect the oper ation of the oven. Cook time To set how long the oven is to be in use. End time To set when the oven is to switch off again.

20 Cook time and End time combined 3 Cook time and End time can be used simultaneously , if the oven is to be automatically switched on and off at a later time . 1. Using the function Cook time set the period of time that the dish re- quires to cook. In this example, 1 hour .

22 General instructions With Ventitherm ® F an Operated Cooking you can also bake two cakes at the same time in tins placed next to each other on the shelf. This does not significantly increase baking time. 3 When frozen foods ar e used the trays inserted may distort during cook- ing.

30 Defr osting Oven function: Fan Contr olled De frosting (no temperature set- ting) • Unpack the food and place it on a plate on the oven shelf. • Do not cover with a plate or bowl, as these can substa ntially lengthen the defrosting time. • For defrosting, place the shelf on the 1st oven level fr om the bot- tom.
31 Grill sizes Oven function: Full Width Dual Grill with maximum temperature setting 1 Important: Always grill with th e oven door closed. 3 The empty oven should always be pre-heated with the grill functions for 5 minutes . • When grilling, use the oven shelf and drip pan together .
32 Cleaning and car e 1 War n in g : For cleaning, the appliance must b e switched off and cooled down. War n in g : For safety reasons, do not clean the appliance with steam jet or high-pr essure cleaning equipment. Important: Do not use any abrasi ve cleaners, sharp scr apers or abrasive items .
33 Shelf Support Rails The shelf support rails on the left and right hand sides of the oven can be removed for cleaning the side walls. Removing the shelf support rails First pull the fr ont of the rail away from the oven wall (1) and then un- hook at the back (2).
34 Oven Lighting 1 War n in g: Risk of electric shock! Prior to changing the oven light bulb: – Switch off the oven! – Disconnect from the electricity supply . 3 Place a cloth on the oven floor to protect the oven light and glass cov- er . Changing the oven light bulb/ cleaning the glass cover 1.
35 Oven Roof The upper heating element can be folded down to make it easier to clean the oven roof. Folding down the heating ele- ment 1 Warning: Only fold down the heating element when the oven is switched off and there is no risk of being burnt! 1. Remove the side shelf support rails.
36 Oven Door The oven door of your appliance may be removed for cleaning. Removing the oven door 1. Open the oven door completely . 2. Completely fold back the brass- coloured clamping lever on both door hinges. 3. Grip the oven door with both hands on the sides and close it to about 3/4 going past the point of resist- ance.
37 Oven Door Glass The oven door is fitted with two glass panels mounted one behind the other . The inner panel can be removed for cleaning. 1 Caution: the following steps must be performed only with the oven door removed! If the glass is r emoved while the door is attached, the lighter weight may cause it to spring up and cause injury .
38 What to do if … If you are unable to r emedy th e problem by follow ing the above suggestions, please contact your local Service For ce Centre. 1 War n in g! 39 Electrical Connection The oven is designed to be connected to 230-240 V~(50Hz) electricity supply . The oven has an easily accessible terminal block which is marked as follows: 1 This oven must be earthed! The cable used to connect the oven to the electrical supply must comply to the specifications given below .
