4 Safety The safety aspects of our refriger ators/freezer s comply with accepted tech- nical standards and the German Appliance Safety Law . Nevertheless, we consider it our obligation to make you aware of the following safety infor- mation: Intended use • The refriger ator is intended for use in the home.
5 Daily Oper ation • Containers with flammable gases or liquids can leak at low temper atures. There is a risk of an explosion! Do not stor e any containers with flamma- ble materials such as, for example, spray cans, fir e extinguisher refill car- tridges etc in the refriger ator/freezer .
6 Remove T r ansport Packaging The appliance and the interior fittings are pr otected for transport. • Remove all adhesive tape and packing pieces from the interior of the appliance. Fitting the Door Handles 1. Screw the top handle bracket to the handle r od (1).

8 • During normal operation, the temper ature currently pr esent in the fridge (ACTUAL temperatur e) is displayed. • When the temperatur e is being adjusted a flashing display indicates the fridge temperatur e currently set (DESIRED temperatur e).
9 Interior Accessories Stor age shelves • Y ou should always slide one of the full size glass storage shelf into the lowest set of guides, above the fruit and the vegetable containers, and keep it in this position.
10 Dr awer The drawer is suitable for storing fruit and vegetables. There is a separator inside the dr awer that can be placed in different posi- tions to allow for the subdivision best suited to personal needs. There is a grille on the bottom of the drawer to separ ate the fruit and vegetables from any humidity that may form on the bottom surface.
11 Fr esh Food Refriger ation To obtain the best performance: • do not store warm food or evapor ating liquid in the refrigerator • do cover or wrap the food, particularly if it has a str ong flavour . • P osition food so that air can circulate freely r ound it.

13 DESIRED temperatur e means: The temperatur e that has been selected for inside the freezer . The DESIRED temperatur e is indicated by flashing numbers. ACTUAL temperatur e means: The temperatur e display indicates the current temperatur e inside the f r eezer .
14 FROSTMA TIC The FROSTMATIC function acceler ates the freezing of fresh food and, at the same time, protects foodstuffs alr eady stored from undesir able warming. 1. The FROSTMATIC function is switched on by pr essing the FROSTMATIC but- ton. The yellow light illuminates.
15 Fr eezing and storing fr ozen food Y ou can use your freezer for freezing fr esh food yourself. Important! • The temperatur e in the freezer compartment must be –18 °C or colder before fr eezing food. • Please observe the freezing capacity given on the r ating plate.
16 Pr epar ation of Ice Cubes 1. Fill the ice cube tr ay 3/4 full with cold water , place it in the freezer com- partment and leave to freeze. 2. To loosen the fr ozen cubes, either bend the ice cube tray or hold it under running water for a few seconds.
17 Defr osting Refrigerator Frost is automatically eliminated fr om the evaporator of the refriger ator compartment every time the motor compressor stops, during normal use. The defrost water dr ains out through a trough into a special container at the back of the appliance, over the motor compressor , where it evapor ates.
18 Cleaning and Car e Out side of the appliance Important: Do not use cleaning agents for stainless steel or other aggressi- ve or abrasive cleaning agents.
19 5. After cleaning wipe with fresh water and rub dry . Accumulation of dust at the condenser increases ener gy consumption. For this reason car efully clean the condenser at the back of the appliance once a year with a soft brush or a vacuum cleaner .
20 The food is too warm. Interior lighting does not work. The appliance is near a heat source. Temper ature is not pr operly adjusted. Please look in the "Initial Start Up" section. Light bulb is defective. Please look in the "Changing the Light Bulb" section.
21 Unusual noises. The appliance is touching the wall or other objects. Appliance is not level. The compressor starts after a period of time. See the "Cleaning and Care" section. This is normal, no error has occurred. The compressor does not start immediately after changing the temperatur e setting.

25 P ositioning This appliance should only be installed at a location where the ambient temperatur e corresponds to the climate classification indicated on the rat- ing plate, which is located at the left on the inside of the appliance.
26 F D PR18 F F F E E H G Reversing the door The side at which the door hangs can be changed from the right side (fac- tory supplied) to the left side, if the installation site requir es. Warning! When changing the side at which the door opens, the appliance must not be connected to the mains.
27 12 Unscrew the top handle bracket fr om the handle rod (1). Unscrew the bottom hand- le bracket fr om the door (2). 13 . Unscrew the top handle bracket fr om the door (3) and screw onto the bottom right- hand side of the door (4).
