7 3 Gener al Information • To prevent cr easing do not exceed the maximum load stated in the progr amme table. • When using fabric conditioning sheets, we recomm end the conditioning sheet is pinned (using a safety pin) to an article of laundry and placed in the tumble dryer .
8 2 Envir onmental pr otection tips • Y our laundry will become light and soft in the laundry dryer even without a soft rin sing agent. • Loosen your laundry before loading it into the dryer . This helps to prevent lengthy running times and cr easing.

13 The pr ogramme selector positions • OFF: The tumble dryer is switched off. •L I G H T : The drum light switches on when the door is opened. • Progr amme group CO TTONS: Progr ammes for drying cotton and linen fabrics; maximum load 6 kg. • Progr amme group EASY CARES: Progr ammes for drying mixed fabrics and synthetics; maximum load 3 kg.
14 Brief oper ating instructions • Ensure the laundry is well spun before tumble drying. • Prepare the laundry . • Open the door and load the laundry . • Shut the door . Attention! Do not catch washing in the door . • Select the drying progr amme on the pr ogramme selector .
15 Drying Pr epare the laundry • To pr event tangled bundles of laundry: Close zip fasteners; button-up bed linen and pillow cases; tie-together loose tapes, e.g. aprons. • Empty all pockets. • Remove all me tal objects (i.e. paper clips, pins, etc.
Drying 16 0 If requir ed, select the buttons AUDIBLE SIGNAL, SPECIAL CAR E or QUICK. • AUDIBLE SIGNAL button During the crea se-protection phas e (immediately after the drying phase), an acoustic signal is sounde d at intervals (see "End of drying process").
Drying 17 Start DELA Y TIMER With the DELA Y TIMER function you can delay the start of the drying progr amme by 1 to 19 hour s. 0 Setting the progr amme. 0 Hold the DELA Y TIMER button pr essed until the desired number of hour s of delay of the progr amme start appear s in the display field for PROGR.
Drying 18 Start the drying pr ogramme 0 Press the ST ART button. The drying progr amme starts. The pr ogramme progr ess is indicated on progr amme phase dis- play . Removing laundry or load ing laundry when necessary Y ou can interrupt the drying process at any time to r emove some of the laundry or to add more laundry .
Drying 19 Empty the water r eservoir 1 Caution! The condensed water is not suitable for drinking or for use with foodstuffs. The water reservoir should be empt ied completely after every drying progr amme. This avoids interrupti on of a pr ogramme when the water reservoir is full.
Drying 20 Clean the fluff filter To ensur e efficient oper ation of the tumble dryer , clean the fluff filter after each drying progr amme. Also check whether there ar e any r e mnants or fluff from the washing in the drum; r emove immediately . 0 Press the catch of the filter lid down- wards.
Drying 21 Cleaning the heat exchanger 1 Important! When the HEAT EXCHANGER display illuminates, it is essen- tial to clean the heat exchanger . Otherwise your dryer might suffer damage. In addition energy consumption will be incr eased if the heat exchanger unit is covered with fluff.

25 Cleaning and maintenance Cleaning the filter ar ea 1 Important! When the FILTER display illuminates, it is essential to clean the fluff filter . Otherwise your dryer might suffer damage. A small amount of fluff may reach the ar ea ar ound the filter in spite of the fluff filter .
Cleaning and mainten ance 26 Cleaning the panel and oper ating parts 1 War n i n g ! Do not use household furniture polish or aggressive deter- gents. 0 Wipe over the panel and operating parts with a damp cloth. Only use warm water . Cleaning the door seal 0 Rub the door seal with a damp cloth immediately after the drying pro- cedure.
27 Pr ogr amming possibilities The electronic contr ol system of your laundry dryer provides you with the possibility to adapt some functions of the dryer permanently to your requir ements.
Programming possibilities 28 Adjusting the drying resu l t: If at the end o f the pro - gramme you always want the washing to be somewhat drier or somewhat damper than with the standard set- ting and you want to adjust the tumble dryer’s reco gnition of the degree of dry ness accordingly: 1) Turn the p rogr amme selector to the LIGHT positio n.
29 What to do if ... If the tumble dryer is not working co rrectly please carry out the follow- ing checks before calling out an engineer . Symptom P ossible cau se Solution The tumble dryer will not .
What to do if ... 30 The drying result is unsatis- factory; the washing is still damp. The conductivity of the water in your locali ty dif- fers fr om the standar d setting of the appliance. Reprogramme the stand- ard sett ing, eg. H0 instea d of H1 , for dryer washing (see chap ter “Program- ming P ossibilities“ .
What to do if ... 31 If after these checks, the tu mble dryer still does not wo rk, contact your local AEG Service Force Centr e. Please note that it will be necessary to provide pr oof of pur chase for any in-guarantee service calls.

40 Door Reversal Instructions The door opening direction can be changed if r equired. 1 War n in g ! Before rever sing the door , isolate the appliance from the mains supply . Proceed as follows to r everse the door opening dir ection: 0 Unscrew the scr ews A on the fr ont panel of the appliance.
Door Reversal Instructions 41 0 Take out the la tched catch cove ring J and pull off the plug. 0 Connect the door catch H and the catch covering J on the respective opposite side to the plug, insert into the holes and screw or latch into position.
42 Special accessories Y ou can obtain the following special accessories from your retailer . Dr ainage kit A drainage kit (TRZ955, E-No. 9 16 0 19 000) can be purchased to adapt the dryer to drain the condensed wate r into an existing dr ain, sink etc with a maximum feed height of 1 m above the floor on which the dryer is standing (3 m Length).
