OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS Safety instructions The safety of AEG electrical appliances conforms to accepted rules of technology and the Appliance Safety Act. We as manufactur ers, however , see ourselves as being obliged to familiarise you with the following safety instructions.
● Ensure the packaging materials for this appliance ar e kept away from childr en so as to prevent the risk of injury or suffocation. ● The water in your dishwasher is not for drinking. Detergent r esidues may still be present in your machine. K eep children well away fr om your dishwasher when the door is open.
Operating instructions 6 Disposal Dispose of the dishwasher packaging material correctly . All packaging materials can be recycled. Plastic parts are marked with standar d international abbreviations: >PE< for polyethylene, e.g. sheet wrapping material.

Operating instructions 8 Progr amme selection/cancel button (RESET) : the selection of a washing progr amme occurs by the means of this button, pr ess it until the indicator light corresponding to the desir ed washing progr amme illuminates (see "Washing pr ogrammes" chart).
Operating instructions 9 Indicator lights: have the following meanings: The salt and rinse aid indicator lights are never illuminated while a washing progr amme is running even if filling with salt and rinse aid is necessary . End of progr amme , illuminates when the washing progr amme has ended.
Operating instructions 10 Audible signals Audible signals have been introduced to help indicate which operations the dishwasher is performing. - end of washing progr amme, - malfunction of the machine. Deactivation/activation of the audible signals Factory setting: audible signals activated.
Operating instructions 11 Prior to using for the first time Before using your dishwasher for the fir st time: 1. Ensure that the electrical and water connections comply with the installation instructions 2. Remove all packaging from inside the appliance 3.
Operating instructions 12 a) Setting manually 1. Open the dishwasher door . 2. Remove the lower basket from the dishwasher . 3. Turn the water har dness dial to position 1 or 2 (see table). 4. Replace the lower basket. The dishwasher is factory set at position 2.
Operating instructions 13 b) Setting electr onically The dishwasher is factory set at level 5. 1. With the dishwasher switched off, press the On/Off button. The end of progr amme indicator light flashes (setting mode). In case salt and/or rinse aid refilling is necessary the corr esponding indicator lights illuminate.
Operating instructions 14 Filling with dishwasher salt Only use salt specifically designed for use in dishwashers. All other types of salt not specifically designed for use in a dishwasher , especially table salt, will damage the water softener . Only fill with salt just before starting one of the complete washing progr ammes.
Operating instructions 15 Rinse aid Rinse aid is automatically added during the last rinse, ensuring thorough rinsing, and spot and str eak free drying. The dispenser , which is positioned inside the door , holds about 1 1 0 ml of rinse aid, which is sufficient for 16 - 40 dishwashing progr ammes, depending upon the dosage setting.
Operating instructions 16 Adjusting the dose According to the finish and drying r esults obtained, adjust the dose of rinse aid by means of the 6 position selector (position 1 minimum dosage, position 6 maximum dosage). The dose is factory set in position 4.
Operating instructions 17 In daily use • Check if it’s necessary to r efill with dishwasher salt or rinse aid. • Load cutlery and dishes into the dishwasher . • Fill with dishwasher detergent. • Select a wash progr amme suitable for the cutlery and dishes.
Operating instructions 18 For washing in the di shwas her the following cutlery/dishes are not suitable: • Cutlery with wooden, horn, china or mother-of-pearl handles • Plastic items that are not .
Operating instructions 19 Open the door and slide out the baskets to load the dishes. The lower basket The lower basket is designed to take saucepans, lids, plates, salad bowls, cutlery etc. Serving dishes and large lids should be arr anged around the edge of the basket, ensuring that the spray arms can turn fr eely .
Operating instructions 20 The cutlery basket Long bladed knives stored in an upright position ar e a potential hazard. Long and/or sharp items of cutlery such as carving knives must be positioned horizontally in the upper basket. Take car e when loading or unloading sharp items such as knives.
Operating instructions 21 The upper basket The upper basket is designed for plates (dessert plates, saucers, dinner plates of up to 24 cm in diameter), salad bowls, cups and glasses. Arrange items on and underneath the cup r acks so that water can reach all surfaces.
Operating instructions 22 Adjusting the height of the upper basket If washing very large plates you can load them in the lower basket after moving the upper basket to the higher position. To move to the higher position pr oceed as follows: 1. Pull out the basket until it stops.
Operating instructions 23 Use of deter gent Only use detergents specifically designed for use in dishwashers . We r ecommend the use of Finish detergents .
Operating instructions 24 Differ ent kinds of deter gent Deter gent tablets Detergent tablets fr om different manufactur es dissolve at different rates. For this r eason, some detergent tablets do not attain their full cleaning power during short washing progr ammes.
Operating instructions 25 Use of "3 in 1" combi deter gents These products ar e detergents with a combined cleaning, rinsing and salt function. 1. Check whether these detergents ar e suitable for your water hardness. Follow the manufactur ers instructions.
Operating instructions 26 W ashing progr ammes 1. INTENSIVE CARE 7 0° progr amme is foreseen with Care Plus function, which gives a greater degr ee of hygiene to dishes and glasses. In the last rinse the temparatur e will be held at over 65°C for at least 1 0/1 1 minutes.
Operating instructions 27 Starting a washing pr ogr amme In this fully integrated appliance the contr ols are located on the top of the door . When selecting a washing programme, the door needs to be slightly open. 1. Check that the baskets have been loaded corr ectly and that the spray arms can r otate fr eely 2.
Operating instructions 28 4. T o interrupt or cancel a washing progr amme in pr ogress Interrupt or cancel a washing progr amme in progr ess ONL Y if it’s absolutely necessary . Attention! Hot steam may escape when the door is opened. Open the door carefully .
Operating instructions 29 6. Unloading the dishwasher Hot dishes are sensitive to knocks. The dishes should ther efore be allowed to cool down before r emoving from the appliance. Empty the lower basket first and then the upper one; this will avoid water dripping from the upper basket onto the dishes in the lower one.
Operating instructions 30 Maintenance and cleaning Clean the external surfaces of the machine and control panel with a damp soft cloth. If necessary use only neutral deter gents. Never use abrasive pr oducts, scouring pads or solvent (acetone, trichloroethylene etc.

Installation instructions 42 W ater supply connections This dishwasher may be fed with either hot (max. 60°) or cold water . Nevertheless we advise you use a cold water supply . A hot water supply is not always efficient with very soiled crockery as it shortens the washing progr ammes a lot.
Installation instructions 43 W ater inlet hose with safety valve After connecting the double-walled water inlet hose, the safety valve is next to the tap. Therefor e the water inlet hose is only under pressur e while the water is running. If the water inlet hose starts to leak during this operation, the safety valve cuts off the running water .
Installation instructions 44 W ater outlet hose connection The end of the drain hose can be connected in the following ways: 1. To the sink outlet spigot, securing it to the under side of the work surface. This will prevent waste water fr om the sink running into the machine.

If the plug that is fitted to your appliance is not suitable for the socket, it must be cut off and the appropriate plug fitted.
