8 BEFORE USING YOUR WASHER Read the important instructions in this section of the Use and Care Guide before operating your washer . OPERA TING YOUR W ASHER Sort laundry into loads that can be 1. washed together . Sort items by recommended cycle and water temperature.

10 5. A d d la un dr y pr o d uc ts t o th e di sp en se r . IMPOR T ANT Open and close the dispenser drawer slowly . Closing the drawer too quickly could result in early dispensing of the bleach or fabric softener . IMPOR T ANT Savetheliquidcupinsertforfutureuse.
11 IMPOR T ANT Do not mix liquids and powders. IMPOR T ANT T o prevent fabric damage, do not overfill the “Liquid Bleach” chamber or pour liquid chlorine bleach directly onto the load. Other W ash Products Color -safe bleach, water conditioner , deter gent booster and enzyme products may be added with the deter gent.
12 Operating Instructions 6. Select the appr opriate cycle and settings for the load. T ur n the cycle selector knob in either direc- tion to select the cycle desired.
13 Operating Instructions 7. Start the washer . Close the door and press start . The washer will not operate with the door unlatched and DOO R OP EN will be displayed. Select delay start to delay the beginning of the cycle for up to 22 hours if desired.

15 TEMPERA TURE SOILLEVEL OPTIONSSCROLL&SELECT SPINSPEED Operating Instructions Cycle Selection, con’ t DEEP CLEAN SANITIZE Use the deep clean sanitize cycle to clean and sanitize heavily soiled, colorfast fabrics including towels,bedding,andchildren’ sclothing.
16 Operating Instructions CASUAL The casual cycle provides 5-20 minutes of r evers- ing tumble action for cottons and blends with a permanent press or no-ir on finish. All temperatures except sanitize temp , all spin speeds and soil levels, and all options except warm rinse are available with this cycle.
17 Operating Instructions Cycle Selection, con’ t SPIN ONL Y Use the spin only cycle anytime you want to drain water from the washer and spin out the load or as a follow-up to the no spin setting. Select the speed appropriate for the load for 8 minutes of spin.
18 Operating Instructions If more than one user has been enter ed in CUSTOM MODE : The current user’ s name will be displayed when • the washer is turned on if CUSTOM MODE is on. Press the button under • OK to continue using that user’ s favorite cycles.

The spin speedand/ordurationofnal spin vary from cycle to cycle. Increasing the spin spe ed w ill ext rac t mo re wa ter , decrease drying time and conserve ener gy .

Up to 3 favorites may be saved for each custom user . Follow these steps: Select a cycle, washing temperatur e, spin speed, • soil level and other options desired.

30 Setting Pr eferences, con’ t SYSTEM CLEAN T o clean and freshen the washer , perform the SYS- TEM CLEAN cycle. If you wish to begin the cycle, press select when pr ompted. The next screen will instruct you to remove all items fr om the wash drum, fill the bleach dispenser and press start .
31 Setting Pr eferences, con’ t BRIGHTNESS Press the button beneath the plus ( + ) or minus ( - ) symbols to increase or decr ease the brightness of the display . Press select to accept the change or press the button under EXIT to r etur n to normal operation without any changes.
