EN-13 Installing the Batteries 1. Open the battery cover in the direction shown. 2. Install batteries a s indicated by the diagra m inside the compartment. 3. Close the battery cover into position. Keep the batteries out of the rea ch of children. There is a danger of death by accidentally swallowing the battery.
EN-14 Ground Notes on AC Power Cord AC Power Cord must meet requirement of country where you use a projector. Confirm a n AC plug type with gra phics below and proper AC Power Cord must be used. If supplied AC Power Cord does not match your AC outlet, contact your sales dealer .

EN-17 Powering On/Off the Projector Powering on the projector: 1. Remove the projector lens ca p. 2. Complete the AC power cord and peri pheral signal cable(s) connections. 3 . Turn on the main power switch. 4. The power LED indicator blinks blue in standby mode.
EN-18 Adjusting the Projector Adjusting the Projector Height The projector is equipped with an elevator foot and tilt-adjustment feet to adjust the image height. 1. T o raise or lower the i mage, press the elevator button and raise or lower the front of the projector .
EN-19 Adjusting the Projector Zoom and Focus 1. Focus the image by rotating the focus ring. A still image is recommended for focusing. 2. Adjust the image by rotating the zoom ring. Rotate to the right to enlarge the image. Rotate to the left to reduce the image.
EN-20 Position the projector in a horizontal position; other positions ca n cause heat build-up a nd da mage to the projector . Ma ke sure the heat ventilation holes are not blocked. Do not use the projector in a smoky environment. Smoke residue may cause buildup on critical parts.
EN-21 Menu Operation The projector ha s multilingual on-screen display menus that allow you to make i mage adjustments and change a variety of settings. How to operate 1. Press MENU to display the on-screen menu. 2. Press S / T to select any feature in the main menu, then press X to move into that menu.
EN-22 Setup Menu Keystone Adjusts image distortion caused by tilting projection. Reset keystone Resets the keystone correction to zero (no correction). V olume Adjusts the loudness of the projector’s audio. Mute T emporarily turns of f the projector’s audio.
EN-23 Picture Menu Cha nging these settings affects only the a ctive source. Some picture adjustments are available only when certain input ports are in use. U navaila ble adjustments are shown in gray in the on-screen menu. Color settings Adjusts the image and colors.
EN-24 Frequency Adjusts the timing of the projector relative to the computer. T racking Adjusts the pha se of the projector relative to the computer . V ertical offset Adjusts the image up or down within the projection area. Horizontal offset Adjusts the image left or right within the projection area.
EN-25 Source Menu VG A Shows the source connected to the V GA-in port. Composite video Shows the source connected to the composite-video port. S-video Shows the source connected to the S-video port. Component Shows the source connected to the component video port.
EN-26 T urn off the projector a nd remove the AC power cord from the power outlet before beginning maintena nce work. Ma ke sure the lens is cool before cle aning. Do not use detergents or chemicals other tha n those noted above. Do not use benzene or thinners.
EN-27 Replacing the Lamp As the projector operates over ti me, the brightness of the projector la mp gradually decrea ses and the la mp becomes more susceptible to brea kage. W e recommend repla cing the la mp if a warning message is displayed. The lamp becomes high temperature after turning off the projector with the power button.
EN-28 Dispose of the used lamp according to local regulations. Ensure that screws are tightened properly. Screws not tightened fully may result in injury or accidents. Since the la mp is ma de of glass, do not drop the unit a nd do not scratch the glass.
